Sears kenmore elite oasis dryer 110 67032600 check lint screen flashes doesn t heat all other functions seem to work... timers, cycles, etc - it just doesn't heat. I did a major cleaning through all of the airpathways and checked to make sure there is 240vac at the dryer... all sat there are a couple of sensors indicated in the parts diagrams that seem to affect the temperature an operation of the heating element, but... there is also some sort of pair of blue thermistors that are connected to the electrodes by the lint screen. I don't want to randomly buy a bunch of parts...

inside the lint screen assembly, there are two electrodes that have two blue discs connected to them (Thermistors?)... they are not on the parts diagrams... could these be bad?

Also, If I replace the thermostats & limit switches, will that fix the check lint screen warning light that comes on when it's powered up? or is that related to the electrodes?

If you were to rank which of those items were the most likely to fail, which order would you guess?

to be honest with you, if the the light keeps flashing untill I hit start, but the dryer heats up, then I'll be happy!

This video will show you the most likely of the componenets that are responsible for no heat issue.
This is not your model but the parts are located in the same location next to your heating element.
If this will not correct your issue just post the results of the testing of the components and I will show you what is next to test. But 90% of the time this is the issue.I would leave the thirmistors alone for now.

Here is the diagram for your dryer,Looks as if the parts to check are on the lower right hand side in the front.

What I'm trying to do is correct the heating issue first, then the lint light. You should be able to take these parts to your part store and they should check them for you.If not but a cheap multi meter from lowes or home depot for around $10.00 If you need help after buying one I can walk you through it. This is the order in which I think the issues are in.
1.) change out the high limit fuse...these go bad often....especially if the unit was full of lint.
    2.) change the heater element.
    3.) thermostats...these rarely go bad

That is great news.....you saved yourself around $100.00

Hi

I believe the that everything else is fine rather it is the thermostat that is located inside the rear panel to the exhaust duct that is bad and should be replaced. If you want you can test this fuse for continuity and if bad replace it as it cannot be reset. If the fuse is fine then check the dryer belt and idler pulley...Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

Dryer turns on then stops in 5 seconds and flashes F40 code. shuts down

Check lint filter, check vent outlet at dryer, and continue on through vent checking for lint to the exit area of the vent. Keeping the vent lint free saves energy and reduces drying time.

How to replace a heating element on a Kenmore Elite Oasis ST dryer

Sounds like you need to replace the timer one the dryer not the element but to make sure I would do a little trouble shooting to rule out the element or heating coil turn on dryer cycle like normal for about 30 seconds then open the door to feel for heat if you do feel heat its your cycle/timer knob if you don't feel heat then it's the coil or element witch are the same also first always check your lint trap and ducts going outside the dryer make sure you have proper airflow through ducts vents. clogged vents ducts ect. Cause over heating of element coil causing a safety fuse to shut down heating coil/element but will not stop cycle also moisture censors detect moisture causing cycle to continue on hope this helps.

Sears kenmore elite oasis dryer 110 67032600 check lint screen flashes doesn t heat

Hello,

Check the vent on the back. This is indicating a air flow issue. If the vent is clear ohm the heater out check it for continuity.

We have a kenmore elite oasis dryer.one year old.just bought from some people only had it for two days.it was in the middle of a cycle when it suddenly shut off with the code af appearing where the timer...

An "AF" code means there is a low airflow condition and the clothes may not dry properly. To remedy this, check to make sure the lint screen is cleaned off and that there is no blockage in either the vent duct that runs from the dryer to the wall or the vent hood on the exterior of the house.

PF - Power Failure - PF error code indicates a power failure during the dryer's cycle.
Press and HOLD start to continue the cycle, or press off/pause to clear display.

2 to 3 cycles to fully dry clothes

if the clothes are warm after the cycle then you need to make sure the vent to the outside of the house is not plugged if they are not warm then it is in the heating circuit of the dryer wether it be the element or a fuse will have to be tested. to dry clothes it takes heat and air flow if you dont have one of the two they will not dry correctly

Check lint screen come on

Check the tubing the lint goes through (exhaust). This may be stopped up or clogged. There is a build up here of heat or something that is preventing proper air flow.
