If it is a single 12" the rule seems to be 1 cubic foot of airspace. Fill a smaller box with fiberfill
and it thinks it's bigger.
"
If you want to compensate for the volume taken up by the woofer, you can use the following approximations. Keep in mind that these are for 'normal' woofers. If you're using a competition woofer with a huge frame and magnet structure, refer to the manufacturer for the actual displacement volume of the woofer. Even if you're not using competition woofers, most high quality manufacturers provide this spec in the woofer's datasheet. 8 inch .03 ft3 10 inch .05 ft3 12 inch .07 ft3 15 inch .10 ft3 Also noting that a box that is 12" X 12"X18" should get you in the 1 cu ft range but you may need
to go 14X14X14 or 1.3 cu ft to be able to get the speaker into the box-clearance!
Dont use plywood! It flexes. Use MDF and use a silicone sealer like window or door seal
to make it air-tight. To get more audio out of a small amp, add a port however the calculation
of port size is a bit scarse.
Here is the site I use. Maybe you can write down the www and go view it on someone's computer.
See # 110 on the right side pane. I love this site for all calculations.

I want to hook up a crossfire bmf 12 to my 500s. It is a dual 4 ohm speaker which config will i get the most power out of the amp. Wired at 8ohm bridged or each voice coil on a channel. That amp wont run...

You are correct, the amp will not support 2 ohms bridged. your best bet would probably be to have one voice coil on each channel. You could run them in parallel on one channel. but you will be getting the same power to each sub as if you put one on each channel. If you run them at 8 ohm bridged you will be getting less than 125 wrms per voice coil because of amp inefficiency at such a high resistance. It will sound cleaner also if you have one voice coil per channel.

I have one crossfireperformance series dual voice coil 10 inch sub. it is either 2 or 4 ohm. what style box would i need to get the most bang out of it . i have a 2002 silverado quad cab

If it is an open air sub ( hole with mesh in the center of the magnet) no ports are required, and the box should be sealed on the inside with silicone sealant. If it is a closed air sub ( no hole in the magnet) you need a 50mm port about 120mm long Box size will be 11 inches x 11 inches x 11 inches

I need to know how to rebuild the top end on my 96 camaro 3800 v6

You'll need to remove the heads. Take them to a machine shop. They will do a valve job, check the heads for cracks, check for bad valve guides and replace the valve stem seals.

Why does my old punch 500a amp push more than my new punch 500s

because those amps have unregulated power supplies. the impedance also could be incorrect.  Check the resistive load that the amp sees.

Box recomendations

It depends on the size of the subs- 8z 10z 12z 15z? whether or not you port the box is up to you- a ported box is generally louder than a sealed box -as you are coupling and tuning the sound from the rear of the driver with the sound generated from the front of the sub- but the box is also generally larger as well. Then aside from your preference of ported/sealed you have to account for the recommendations of the manufacturer as to whether the sub/speakers are meant to be placed in a ported or sealed enclosure. Most 10 inch subs do well in a box that yields .75 cubic feet to1.0 cubic feet.most 12z do well in 1.0 cu feet to 1.5 subic feet and 15z do well in 1.5 to 2.5 cubic feet. I have a set of 15z that require 4.25 cubic feet per sub-so its important to look into the manufacturers recommendations. The easiest box to make would be a sealed enclosure-and the sound quality generally yields a tighter more accurate bass sound along with increased power handling capability- try going to rockford fosgate .com and look into the woofer box wizard its a program that calculates air space for whatever size box you have room for-hope that helps you-good luck

1000 crossfire bmf and a rockford fosgate that need to be fixed

send the rockford to landis technical-they bought up all the parts to rockfords amps and will get them back to factory specs and recertify it for ya along with a new power certificate-look on rockfords website and snoop around and it will break it on down for ya and give you the address n stuff. i had to send my 1501bd mono amp in to get an overhaul and it came back throwin 1810watts rms so that was better than when i started -good luck.
