First off stop trying to power it back on. That will only make things worse. If you can, disassemble the UPS. If you find that there are blown capacitors, or burns/charring/scorches of any kind anywhere, then yes, it's fried. If, however, you don't see anything wrong visually, then I would suggest cleaning the unit. Eliminate all power going to the UPS before cleaning. Use q-tips, alcohol and water for this purpose. Make sure to scrub everything very well. Don't rub hard though, just take your time and don't jab things with the q-tips. After the cleanup, make sure everything is completely dry. A hairdryer on LOW SETTING can help to speed up this process. Just don't heat it up too much, then you're just hurting it more.
Good luck and I hope it's not fried.

Hey there,
I would never trust the ups again after thing. Especially not with expensive computer equipment.
Your safest bet would be to get a new one.

APC UPS 750 blinking green light

A blinking green light indicates it's on battery.
Possible Causes:
  • Your power is out
  • a breaker/fuse is tripped/blown

Hi Lasantha,

Check the battery in your UPS - it's most likely going bad and you will need to replace it.

Alternating green and orange light with constant beeps

Verify that the usb to ups cable is pluggled in properly. Also you may not have a good ground. Disconnect the ups and plug it in another outlet to test with nothing else plugged into it, to see if it still beeps. You can also try and upgrade the ups software from apc.com

APC Back-UPS ES 350 - when powered on has a blinking green light Is this normal

A blinking green light is likely an indication that the internal battery is nearing the end of its usable life cycle. If it's over 3 years old this is likely the case. To test, plug something in to the battery outlets and pull the plug of the UPS from the wall. If you get a short runtime (or none at all) it's the battery. Batteries are under $20 and can be found here: http://www.batteryinternational.com/apc-backups-es-be350u-ups-battery-ups-batteries-f1.html

APC ES-350 won't turn on; all I see is a blinking light.

Try looking for a small circuit breaker on the side that says "press to reset" - you could have tripped it accidentally when you unplugged the iPod.  Also, try pressing and holding the UPS power switch for 10-15 seconds.  That should force a power on as well.

1) Switch Off the UPS and unplug all Loads (like System, Monitor etc.) from UPS.
2) Switch Off the AC Power (Input Power to UPS).
3) Press the UPS Power Switch constantly unless you hear 2nd BEEP Tone. As soon as you are hearing 2nd BEEP Tone, Release the Power Switch.
4) This is COLD START of all APC UPS that will reset any internal problem.
5) If, however, the problem persists, contact APC.
