Egis Technology Inc., a leading sensor provider of fingerprint biometrics and data encryption, specializes in integrated turnkey solutions with an emphasis on sensor performance and software usability.

Check your computer for one of the following programs. If you have one installed goto the egistec.com website to dowload the latest update.

EgisTec Protection Suite
EgisTec Shredder

Port Locker
SecureShare
Trust Delete

Or you may have a biometric sensor on your keyboard or usb drive. Which you would also want to goto the egistec website for the latest update. If you do not use the sensor you should be able to diable it.

Go here, and put in your computer information. You will need to update your BIOS.
This is a tricky process that I don't even like doing, and I am a computer repairer.

Follow the instructions word by word, or else you may cause serious problems.

Egis update keeps poping up every time i turn on my pc also my pc is running very slow and does not work properly

Looks like you have installed a software that alerts you day long to update it, you can disable pop-up through the browser you are using. If Egis is no more in use, you can uninstall it through control panel.

Here is how you can speed up your computer.

-- cleaning system junk
-- optimizing computer services
-- optimizing internet
-- repairing registry
-- defraging registry
-- clearing browsers junk

do these things with some secure tool such as Intel Software Partner Reginout.

Egis Update ? what is it and where do I go to update?

Head over to Acer to the support section and put in you computer model number and look for any bios updates they may have for your machine and any recommened fixes.

You can also find updates for your machine but doing windows update but use the custom update instead of express update.

hope this helps.

Virus

Install an updated full version of antivirus. Your antivirus might-be-out of date. I recommend you to use avast or avg 8. They will remove all the viruses they detect from your system. But remember to install only one antivirus because installing more than one antivirus can clash down your computer. After installing the new antivirus, scan your computer and delete all the detected viruses. Delete also your temporary internet files, cookies, cache, etc. To do this, follow these steps:
  • Go to Start, Control Panel.
  • Network and Internet Connections
  • Internet Options
  • In the Browsing History, click Delete...
  • Delete Browsing History box appears, Click Delete All button found at the bottom.
  • Reboot your computer.

Explorer problem

Hi

I suggest to restore the settings of your internet explorer to defaults. There could be bugs during your windows update.

1. Open internet explorer, go to tool --> Internet Options ---> Advanced tab ---> Reset.

Reset all the settings then restart your computer. In case you cannot open internet explorer because it will just give you a white blank page. try the following steps below.

1.1a Click Start -- type msconfig on start search box (for vista only). Click Run (for xp only). a pop up box window will show up (System utility configuration). Look for the tab Services.

Under services tab, put a check on the box that says "Hide all microsoft services" at the very bottom screen. Click apply then close. Restart the computer.

After restarting the computer follow step 1.

Keep me posted

Regards

My Toshiba Laptop

click Start>>Run>> (type)Msconfig>>Click ok
System configuration utility window will open up
U will see few tabs at the top like General,Startup
Click on startup tab
At the bottom click disable all>>Close>>It will ask for restart
Restart the computer
when the computer restarts you will get the message
You have used the system configuration utility
Check the box at the bottom Do not Show this Message Again and click ok
Now you wont see the icons that use to load up on the right bottom of your system, however they have not been deleted just hidden,if you want to access any of those programmes that use to appear before
Click start>>All Programmes>>and clik the application you need to open.
