Sounds like your video card may be overheating. Try cleaning the cooling fan and make sure there are no obstructions to the airflow. Also you could try updating to the latest drivers. Click below:
On the far right side you will see the "Download Drivers" section
Selet desktop graphics from the compponent category drop down menu
Select Radeon HD series from the product line drop down menu
Select Radeon HD 4xxx Series PCIe from the model drop down menu
Select your operating system from the drop down menu
