Sounds like your video card may be overheating. Try cleaning the cooling fan and make sure there are no obstructions to the airflow. Also you could try updating to the latest drivers. Click below:

AMD DRIVERS

On the far right side you will see the "Download Drivers" section

Selet desktop graphics from the compponent category drop down menu

Select Radeon HD series from the product line drop down menu

Select Radeon HD 4xxx Series PCIe from the model drop down menu

Select your operating system from the drop down menu

Hope this helps.

I have an Asus X193W Moniter, and a fairly highend hyperthreading computer with Windows XP on it, (going to 7 soon) a GeForce 7600 3D graphics card, I plugged my Acer moniter into it and be damned if I do...

PROBLEM:
Weird colors
SOLUTION
that problem its a hardware failure, so you can't do much with drivers and softwares.
that happens usually when some filters (electronic component) fail so y best advice is take the monitor to a shop for proper fix

No signal on computer moniter

1. Check your cable
2. check your cable pins make sure there not bent.
3. Check your video card make sure its putting out the correct resolution for the monitor.

No signal is just what it is. You may have a bad cable, bent pin or video card is not operational.

Things you can try.

Hook it up to a diffrent computer
Check the pins on the cable.

Worse case would be the little board inside where the connector is could be bad.

Thanks I hope this helps
