I guess I have a heating problem, that open the circuit when it fails and the red light comes on. I need to get in the circuit board itself to define the problem, or narrow it down. thank you.

The bulb is new now but only lasted a week, the last bulb I got 10 days ago was replaced, and this one just went out again, I called the bulb company, they said that they can not replace the buld the 3rd time, they'll just refund my money, there is no blinking lights at all. It will come one and a few seconds it shuts off and red light come on in front. I push the tv remote to turn tv on, then it will wipe out the red light and green turn on the unit again. Thanks.

that is my problem I don't know if the cooling fan is working, but I position and external fan that blow cool air in which I think work when it was hot last summer, there is like a tunnel on the left hand side of the unit, where I place the fan.

Is this bulb in the set new now? These tv's have a history of bulbs going bad, may just be that it didn't last. But if it is new now and no picture we need to look some where else. Are you getting any flashing codes on the power light when you start it up?

this tv also has a light engine for powering up the bulb, it runs around 350.00, there is also a light sensor for the color wheel that tends to go bad over time due to heat.

Do you know if your cooling fans are running? I hope you don't have an issue with the main boards, they really aren't cheap. This set has a host of issues like this. One is the heat sensor I am talking about earlier, it causes bulbs to blow. The last few years there have been several class action lawsuits over these issues. Have you tried to contact Mitsubishi and see if they are covering these issues?

  • Dcramer531
    Dcramer531 Mar 12, 2011

There's a white heat sensor attached to the top of the lamp housing. It's held down by one screw and a large
washer. Remove it and clean the bottom surface of this sensor. Then reinstall it. See if this helps if not then you will need to replace this. That is the first step. If this isn't helping Then you have either an issue with the light engine or the main circuit board

There are instructions for taking these componets out to clean them in the file I sent the link to,. While your in there look at all the boards and see if you see any capacitors that have bulged or split or other wise don't look normal. There were a lot of capacitors sold to the electronics industry several years ago that don't last more than 2-3 years. This has plauged the whole industy, not just your brand. If you see any bad ones, then have the board repaired by a professional with new caps, they will last longer, or you may want to but new, they are better now than they were. And as I said there have been a lot of issues with this light engine, and Mitsubishi know that and they actually warrantied alot of sets beyond their original warranty.

You should here the fan running when you plug the set in, or shine a light in threough the back to see if you can see it running, and you can always mark one of the blades and see if it has moved when you turn it on.

I need a code and instruction to program my remote control with a magnavox tv

  • The Magnavox codes are 32114 and 11434. Should those codes not work then follow these steps to do a code search that will find the code inside the remote.
  1. Turn on your TV.
  2. Press and hold down the SET UP key until the red light blinks twice.
  3. Press Programme - three times. The red light will blink twice.
  4. Alternate between Programme- and Power until your TV turns off.
  5. You may have to press these keys many times, so please be patient.
  6. When your TV turns off, press the SET UP key to store the code. The red light will blink twice. Your TOTAL CONTROL is ready to run your TV.

Hi i have lost instruction manual for my total remote urc 11-4110 b02 Universal Remote could you tell me how to code it to tv manually please

@font-face { font-family: "Cambria"; }p.MsoNormal, li.MsoNormal, div.MsoNormal { margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; font-size: 12pt; font-family: "Times New Roman"; }div.Section1 { page: Section1; } SET UP
TV
The Search Method
If your device does not respond to the TOTAL CONTROL after you have tried all the codes listed for your brand, try searching for your code. The Search Method allows you to find the code for your device by scanning through all the codes contained in the memory of the TOTAL CONTROL.
To search for your TV code:
1 Switch your television on (not on standby) and aim your TOTAL CONTROL at your TV.
2 Press the TV key on your TOTAL CONTROL.
3 Press and hold down SET UP until the red light blinks twice. (The red light will blink once and then twice)
4 Press 9 9 1. The red light will blink twice .
5 Now slowly, alternate between POWER and TV, over and over, until your television turns off. You may have to press these keys many times (up to 150!), so please be patient.Remember to keep pointing the TOTAL CONTROL at your television when you press these keys.
6 As soon as your television turns off, press SET UP.
The TOTAL CONTROL remote should now be ready to operate your device. Turn your device back on and try all the remote’s functions to ensure they are working
properly. If some of the TOTAL CONTROL’s commands are not operating correctly, try the search method again. You may be using the wrong code.
Once you have Set-Up your TOTAL CONTROL, you can blink back your SET-UP CODE for future reference.
Example: To blink out your Television code:
1 Press TV once.
2 Press and hold SET UP until the red light blinks twice (The red light will blink once and then twice).
3 Press 9 9 0. The red light will blink twice.
4 For the first digit of your four-digit code, press 1 and count all the red blinks. If there are no blinks, the digit is "0".
5 For the second digit, press 2 and count all the red blinks. If there are no blinks, the digit is "0".
6 For the third digit, press 3 and count all the red blinks.
If there are no blinks, the digit is "0".
7 For the fourth digit, press 4 and count all the red blinks. If there are no blinks, the digit is "0". Now you have your four-digit code.Make sure you write your Television code for easy future reference.

Are you putting the lamp cover back in place before trying to turn the set on? The 2 blink error is a temperature error you might want to check the thermal sensor, is your lamp door warped?

I have a 56" Toshiba DLP TV, yesterday evening while watching the CNN news we have heard a cracking sound and the video disappeared, the screen went black. The audio was OK, but the two pilot lights...

Hi when was the bulb last changed as when the bulb goes it will do this. at the back of the tv is a panel, it will have vents an a sign saying something like bulb on it the bulb is in there and there is a screw holding this cover on and inside is a clip that holds the bulb in place, remove bulb and check it for its colour if its black then its blown and you just need a new one. if its damaged in any way replace it and do not touch the glass.

KDF-E55A20 red light blinks 5 times

it works!! First i took off the front panel. Just check your manual for instructions, very easy to do. If you do not have a manual just down load one from google.. The instruction are easy to follow. The screw they have you loosen with a alan wrench is attached to the plastic, so you do not have to worry about dropping it inside the tv. Removing the lamp was simple. once out you will notice on either side are two small mesh screens. One of mine was 80% blocked with dust, the other side was only 30-40% covered. I used a vacuum to remove the blockage, i did not want the dust and dirt to go inside the bulb. i then cleaned all around the lamp. Reinstalled, and we are go to go. The kids are happy and i am happier since my wife not be buying a new TV. if this does not work it is time to replace the bulb.
total cost of repair $.00
time required to fix, less than 15 minutes.

Also when my TV was loosing sound and picture and then return. I did turn off my TV, then turned on. I nothiced a red blinking light. Mine flashed 5 times. After some reserch, 5 times is video related, bulb or video board. google red flashing light with the model you have and you will find what all the codes mean.
So if yours is flashing 5 times try the above, it might work for you and it is well worth the time before you call a tech and drops hundreds of dollars.

hope this helps.
