Question about Amana Refrigerators

Our Amana refrigerator is only cooling to about 42 degrees while the freezer is at 27. The unit is 12 years old.

It sounds like the condenser could be dirty and the fan blades. You have to clean the condenser which is located on the back of the frig or inside a bottom pannel along with the fane area.which is prob

Amana side by side refrigerator wont cool properly after moving from one house to another


have a two year old side by side amana frig. the freezer side works fine, the frig is at 56 degrees at coldest setitng. HELP, can't get repair guy for five days cause we live in rural area.

Our side by side refrigerator/freezer is not cooling properly


first try to clean the condenser coil, it is under the bottom of the unit,blow out or vac out the coil.
check to see if fan in freezer is running or if there is ice on the evaporator coil inside freezer.

Amana model SXD25QA3W. Not cooling. Compressor runs.


Low on refrigerant which is R 12. EPA has stopped the manufacture of it and it is priced out of sight.
You have a leak and will need it fixed. Compressor is about $300-400 list. You don't want to go there.
Good luck but likely 15-17 years old....... New one ???

Frigidaire not cooling & freezing cold enough


We ahve a two year old Frrigidaire Freezer. every year same time it seems to correct itself(?), like self defrosting etc, and takes a long time come back to its cooling level. This is made in brazil G series. Please help.
