The sensors that report paper jams often get little pieces of paper stuck inside tripping the sensor when jammed sheet gets pulled out. Powering off and restarting will not help this. You'll need to do a little bit of disassembly looking for loose bits of ripped paper. Maybe use canned compressed air to blow it out first.
the printer samsung clx 3160nprinter to check the any papper part .to clear the papper jam then will be the adf scaner sencer hang.so you can change the adf paper senser or correct fix the senserliver. best wishes
If your printer has a paper tray, do not fill the tray. Overfilling the paper tray is frequently causes paper jams. Many printers have sliding mechanisms that allow different types and sizes of paper to be fed into the printer. If the slider is not correctly positioned, it can cause a paper jam.
Lift the cover just as you would to scan a document. Then, lift the side of the cover directly to the left of the glass, closest to the glass, and check for jammed paper.
I had what seems to be a similar problem and the issue was that the rubber "feet" that grab the paper weren't grabbing anymore. So, I constantly got a paper jam reading. I read elsewhere to wipe some glass cleaner/ammonia on the "feet" so that they become "sticky" again. When I did this, the "Feet" or rubber semi-circle parts that rotate around a metal bar then started to correctly grab the paper again and the error stopped.
Unplug the power cord then put it back up. This restarts the printer again in case the on/off button does not work to turn the printer off. Then check if there's a paper jam. To do this open the scanner lid and also the glass lid, just the way you access the inks when replacing them. Check to see if there's any paper stuck underneath the inks by the printer rollers along the paper path.
The paper jamming is the result of the carriage problem. The paper is starting to feed and then carriage problem -- so paper jams. Look in the optical cavity and see where the carriage is stopping. You can take off the platen glass ( about 3-6 screws) and see if you can remove or fix the hang up.
no need to go for the new printer. just get ur printer serviced from a good technician to clear off the jamming problem and it wont effect the printer so much to spoil the printer completely if u touch the roller.its a minor problem and needs some servicing and realignment to be done.
A paper jam error message will appear if the printhead is not correctly installed. Try removing and reinstalling the printhead again, but make sure it snaps into place. Try loading a sheet of plain paper and press at the same time copy+cancel; hold them down until the printer feeds the paper. The paper will go through the rollers and come out blank.
