Question about Sony Playstation 3 (PS3) Console
Either the drive sensor went bad, the drive was damaged do to misuse, the cabling went bad, the drive circuits went bad or motherboard.
First you need to take apart the unit to check the drive or you can relace the drive which in the end woudl be less headache and time.
to take this apart you need a security torx T10. on the side there is a sticker for warranty and a rubber thng under it. Remove the sticker and rubber to see the first screw. Remove that with a the torx drive. After this you need a medium phillips. the rest is pretty easy. look at the screws and remove them. When they are removed roll the case up from the back toward the front. Now you are in. After this checkthe drive, cables etc or replace the drive.
