To activate your iPod touch, follow these steps:
1. Download iTunes from http://www.apple.com/itunes. 2. Install iTunes. 3. Open iTunes, and connect your iPod touch to the computer using the included Dock Connector to USB cable. 4. iTunes will recognize the iPod and walk you through setting it up.

By default, Apple iPod products configured to work with Apple's iTunes and not as portable drives on your computer. How to enable a disable ipod touch


In order to enable your disabled iPod Touch, you'll have to completely reset it. Turn off the iPod Touch and when it turns back on the first thing to appear will be an Apple logo. Connect the iPod Touch to the computer it is paired with when this logo appears. Once it appears in iTunes, choose the "Restore" option and that will update the software and restore the iPod Touch.

If you connect it to the computer you initially synced the ipod with, it should reset the lockout time. If you can't remember your password you'll have to use itunes to restore the ipod.

I would preform a restore via iTunes. That should reset everything. Then resync to get your music back onto your iPod.

Hi,

Restore your IPT from within iTunes:

1. Connect iPod touch to your computer.
2. In iTunes, select iPod touch in the source list and click the Summary tab.
3. Click Restore to restore iPod touch to its original settings and erase all data and media on iPod touch. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the restore process.
