Question about Alpine CDA-9886 Car CD/ MP3 Player

1 Answer

I just replaced the cd mechanism in my 9886 I just got. I swapped everything over properly as far as I know, including the ribbon cables, but there was no instructions that came with the new mechanism. Now when I try using the cd, I get a message on the faceplate that just says error and then the cd stops spinning. Is there something that I may have over looked?

Sometimes a solder bridge is put on the cable going from the laser assembly to the board, that solder has to be removed.

Installed a new bluray drive in my PS3 slim and get the 8002F14E error at 44% each time. Reset the the system by holding down the power button, the system reset to standard definition but still not...

Are you absolutely sure that you have connected every cable to the blu ray drive properly, including the cables on the blu ray logic board. I don't know if you know this but when you swap a blu ray drive you MUST keep the circuit board that is connected to the drive with the original motherboard. If you have purchased a new drive you will need to swap this circuit board onto the new drive from your old drive. Make sure all ribbon cables are fully pushed into their connectors so the black line on them is right up to the edge of the connector. Also make sure the wide cable from the blu ray drive to the motherboard is fully inserted into the clip.

Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa

The correction tape is not working properly. Wheelwriter 1000

If everything was working befor the ribbon & L/O change Either the L/o is not properly attached to the ribbon or the ribbon and or L/O are old. Make some corrections then remove and look at the L/o, if the letters are near the center of the L/O the problem is the ribbon or L/o is old, if the print is on the top of the tape it is not properly attached to the ribbon or not coming out or the cassette properly.
If you have a fresh set or another T/W that works swap the ribbons and look at how they are attached.

For a picture ngo to lexmark.com and click your way to publications you will find a downloadable manual there.

6 cd changer in 2001 ford expediation

If the unit will not accept or eject any disks, this is a relatively simple fix. Remove the unit from the vehicle. There are 4 T-9 torx screws on the side of the radio. Remove them and slightly lift the CD mechanism from the radio. There are 2 things that need to be unplugged before you can separate the 2 pieces. The 2 wires simply unplug from the bottom of the cd mechanism. The ribbon cable is locked into the socket, you need to grab the lock and gently pull it away from the circuit board. When unlocked the ribbon cable will simply fall out of the socket. Look through the front of the changer mechanism, are there any disks that look out of place? Gently lift the trays to inspect the disks, if one of the disks is too far back you need to get it into place. Reassemble the deck and see what happens.

It helps to know what to ask for....

Is it the ribbon cable (see below)
9fc9b24.gif Or the 4 pin molex plug? (see below)
9b76c9f.jpg Or a SATA cable? (see below)
8de40ec.gif Or an eSATA cable (see below)
c71f854.jpg Or the sata Power cable? (see below)
af6f207.gif
Then you can go on the internet and find and purchase the right cable you need replaced.
