Why cant i reboot my laptop i press enter and it doesnt work

Enter will not reboot your laptop unless you have the menu pulled up to do a restart. Use your mouse pad and go to the lower left hand corner of your screen you should see a microsoft logo on the very bottom of your screen far left hand side the first button on the bottom lower left hand side. Click on that button and a menu will pop up depending on the version of windows you are using you may see a window with writing in it it may say shut down or sleep but to the right of the window you will see a small triange. Click on that triangle and a drop down will appear select restart and your computer will reboot for you.

I hope this helps you out.

How to shut down a computer?

1. Close any applications you have running, such as your email or instant messaging service, by clicking the "X" in the upper-right corner of each program page.

2. Left-click your mouse on the Start button, typically found in the bottom-left corner of your computer screen.

3. Highlight the option to "Shut Down" and left-click your mouse again to initiate the proper shutdown process.

4. Wait until your computer logs you off of any applications, your computer screen goes blank and the power light turns off before you turn off your monitor or close your laptop.

Yesterday, when I powered up my laptop, everything was all of a sudden enlarged ( the desktp, icons, internet, text, e-mails, EVERYTHING). I know this is probably supposed to be some kind of useful tool...

    Hi,

Your enlarged desktop could be caused by several different things, so I will address each one in the order of likelihood of each one:

    1. You may have accidentally changed your Display Settings.

Right-click on your desktop and select Personalize. Scroll down and click on Display Settings. Ensure that your Monitor Resolution is set for the maximum. If not, use your mouse to move the slider bar all the way to the right.

    2. You may have accidentally changed the size of text and icons.

Right-click on your desktop and select Personalize. In the bottom left-hand corner, select Ease of Access. About half way down the screen, select Make the computer easier to see. Click on Change the size of text and icons about half way down the screen. If it is not selected, chose the default scale.

    3. You may have accidentally turned on the Magnifier.

Right-click on your desktop and select Personalize. In the bottom left-hand corner, select Ease of Access. About half way down the screen, select Make the computer easier to see. About half way down the screen, uncheck the Turn on Magnifier.

To turn off the On-Screen Keyboard on start-up,
right-click on your desktop and select Personalize. In the bottom left-hand corner, select Ease of Access. About half way down, select Use the computer without a mouse or keyboard. Unselect Use On-Screen Keyboard.

To turn off the Narrator on start-up, right-click on your desktop and select Personalize. In the bottom left-hand corner, select Ease of Access. About a third of the way down, select Use the computer without a display. Unselect Turn on Narrator.

I hope this helps. If so, please remember to rate my post.

    Thanks!
