I have opened the ports on my router and still can connect my baseball or basketball games online. Should I connect not using my router. Help, please. PS Support says I should contact the game manufaturer. I know there is a way.

Make sure UPnP is enabled on the PS3 and Router.
Place the PS3 in the DMZ of the router or find the appropriate ports to forward to the PS3's connecting IP (set to static in the PS3 if you have it setting dynamicly in the PS3 for either)
If this does not help, do a forum search there are a ton of answers for this on on the Network board here.
it could be what type of router are you using? Are you able to sign into the playstation network? You could try setting up a static ip address on your ps3 and setting it as a dmz server. This will open up all ports for your ps3 and should enable you to play games. It should be a workaround for upnp. If you tell me what router make and model your using i can tell you how to do this.
You do not need a DMZ for ps3. jsut setup a SSID if wireless. Encrypt it (for your own saftly) and PS3 has wireless capablity. Just join the network with the SSID and WEP key and the PS3 will get an IP address. Also no port mapping is needed. Leave all port to auto open due to DHCP is going to get your PS3 a new ip every time you turn it on.
