The dryer runs just doesn't get hot. is it the heating element or is there a fuse somewhere?

More than likely the heater element has failed. typically there are no fuses for this application. Also, be sure that you have 220 volts at plug receptacle outlet, you may only have 110 volts feeding dryer and it requires 220 volts for heating unit and all other operations of the dryer. Hope this helps to answer your question.

What can i check to see why my maytag bravos dryer isnt drying?

[Always disconnect the dryer from any power source before checking.] Dryer heating circuits have several parts in the series circuit that must all work (kind of like a string of Christmas tree lights) so you'll want to check each one in that series. These likely include the motor switch, timer switch, temperature selector switch, temperature controls/thermostats (usually three of these) and all connecting wiring plus the heating element. Of course, one should always make certain the dryer is receiving 220 volts power supply from the wall outlet before starting to troubleshoot the dryer. Most dryers operate with 110 volts, only using the 220 volts for the heater circuit. A dryer getting only 110 volts could run, but not heat. This doesn't happen often, but is always worth checking.

I plugged my desk top to 220 volts line instead of 110 volts

Most likely the damage is too great to be repaired and if it can be repaired the cost of repairing may not be worth it.
If it was me I would put my money towards a new computer.

I have a electric dryer Model WED5810SW0 THAT I WAS TOLD I COULD CONVERT TO 120V from 240v is this true and if so how do i do this?

If you consider doing this the first thing is SHUT THE MAIN BREAKER OFF. Use an auxiliary light source to see when working in a dead panel. Always keep in mind an ARC FLASH ACROSS HOT MAINS HAS ENOUGH HEAT TO PEAL THE SKIN OFF OF YOU. Before an explanation of how to do it you should keep in mind that this is for a single receptacle only. If any other receptacles are on the same circuit they will also be changed to 240 volt receptacles and if you plug any 120 volt device into them, the 120 volt device will be destroyed. That said OK, any 120 volt outlet can be changed to 240 volt by removing the 120 volt circuits neutral, re identifying the white wire with red or black phase tape and connecting it to a new 2 pole 15 amp breaker. The maximum that this circuit will now load up to is, on #14 wire at 80% = 12 amps at 240 volts. The 120V receptacle must be changed to a 15A - 240V receptacle so that 120 volt devices can not be plugged into it. Never use 2 single pole breakers together because code requires that on a fault trip both legs of the 240V circuit must be disconnected simultaneously. My Bosch Dryer is not heating, we have cleaned all the lint from front and from hose in back of dryer, still no heat.

Check your voltage. Take a volt meter and make sure it is set on 250 or higher volts. All electric dryers needs to have 220 volts going to them. One 110 goes to the motor and one goes to the heating elements. If you are only getting 110 volts only one side then it is your electrical problem. Check your breaker or fuses.

No it can NOT be wired for 110 .Actually everything it the unit runs on 110 volts except for the heating element which needs 220 volts..As far as the circuit breaker is concerned you need a minimum of 30 amps

My drier 110 volts was accidentally plugged to 220

The least of your problems would be a burnt out relay or internal switch which can be replaced at reasonable expense. In a worst case the motor or heating element "fried" and it'll be cheaper to buy a new dryer.
BTW 110 and 220 plugs are entirely different and a 110 plug cannot be plugged into a 220 outlet.

Maytag model MDE7057AYW 5600 Watts dryer runs ,but

5600 watts will not operate off 120 volts.
This is a 220/240 volt hookup.
There are 2 legs of 120 volts each that operate the dryer.
The only part requiring 220v is the heater.
Otherwise 120v routes through the various controls and relays.

Neff condenser T/dryer with no heat

You really need a volt / ohm meter to check for Continuity & Volts Its well worth the investment... $15.00 bucks give or take a few I would check to see if you have 220v to back of dryer where the cord mounts to dryer, If dryer is getting only 1 leg 110 volts instead of the 220 will it not heat. Check themostates & heater for Continuity... Most models, Now have a.. Hi-limit fuses that need to be checked for Continuity.
