Question about RCA DRC200N

1 Answer

Frozen player The Tv is on and set to AV2, Comcast cable is fine, but the player will not respond to any command. I cannot turn off the RCADRC200N manually or with the remote. I will try to replace the remote's battery when I get to a store, but also thought there may be some other secret to unfreezing the equipment. a DVD is in the player. Thanks.

Try this: reset player by pressing & holding the standby/on button while you press & hold the stop button. Hold for at least 15 sec.
Also try: when unit is plugged in, remove from outlet for at least 5 min. Then plug it back in.

No audio in dvd playback. Video works just fine. Cables connected properly. Vhs sound and audio work.

Hi,
Would you pls check the connection again that you have made between TV and DVD player..?
2xRCA (white+Red) will go to 'Audio IN 'sockets of TV in addition to '1xRCA Yellow video cable' goes to "Video IN socket 'of TV..since you have video ,probably Audio cable connected REVERSE..
if the connections are right than you must select the right source on TV ,as AV1 ,AV2 which corresponds to the cable input sockets of your TV.

so you need a digital\ analog converter , normaly is another SCART connector labed AUX\VCR on receiver box , is analog output. take particular attention on scart cable config. some cables has data transfer pins, and give some strange situations on receivers.

Connected DVD Player to TV using HDMI cable doesn't work

Have you changed the input of your TV unit to AV1, AV2 or component...or what ever? If so and yet the problem prevails, then try to Plug the AV cable to the input of your Cable Box, if it has so.

APEX Digital VCR&DVD PLAYER ADV-3800 will not play DVD's.

What it so far done, it looks pretty fine. I'd break apart the problem if is posible to do it, i mean maybe you have some other sets around the house or some friend who have them.
  • i'd test the dvd/vcr in a different tv
  • i'd test the tv with a different dvd
i would start over again the installation after this test.

the reason is to know if you can trust in those sets and second maybe with some other try the installation works

DVD is hook up and no picture on the TV.

You have to make sure that the RCA cables are properly connected to the TV. Check the TV/Mode if it's set to AV1 (Audio/Video1) or AV2. You may check the TV remote to set it to AV1 or AV2.

From the DVD, the cable should be connected to OUT. And on the TV...video and audio should be connected to IN.

DVD player only plays DVD in black and white - what's wrong?

Ok,
I'm not sure what you mean by digibox. Under what conditions are you able to see things in color? Is a digibox a seperate device you can get to work with the same connection as your player? If one device displays color on the same connection and another doesn't then that seems to rule out the television being the problem. Can you clarify a little more?

CANT FIGURE OUT HOW TO RECORD OFF AN 'AV' SETTING

The method is the same as for TV channels; select the input (i.e. view the desired channel), then press the record button. AV1 and AV2 usually are at the end of the channel list, and can be found by pressing the channel UP or DOWN buttons.

Setting up DVD/VCR

Depends how you have connected to the TV.

You will need to set your TV to the relevant socket you have connected the DVD/VCR into.

S-Video, Component , composite etc

These will be EXT 1 , EXT 2 or AV 1, AV 2 etc.
