Question about Samsung Cell Phones

I have just bought the samsung tocco, when i inserted my simcard the signal was fine, after an hour or so i was in an area with no signal, which is fine, resulting in a mobile phone with a red line through it on the top of the screen meaning limited service. but as soon as i get back into an area where signal is good, my signal bars appear full again yet the mobile phone symbol with a line in it remains at the top of the screen and i am only able to make emergency calls, even though the signal is full. i put the sim card in my old phone and then took it back and put it back in the tocco and it was fine again, for an hour or so, or until i lose signal again. i am having to repeat this every couple of hours. please could you tell me what the problem is? could it be something to do with 3g, and my contract sim card???

    In mid call my beat shuts off even though battery is full and signal strength is strong. Then I have to restart it again and it shuts down again. Yet there are times when it will run properly for an hour without a problem

Did you buy the phone brand new, or used? Try doing a master reset on the phone.

even though you have switched to a pre-pay ...that is a data phone and most companies don't tell you that a data plan is needed 4 the phone to operate correctly.data plans run between 19 and 50 dollars...depends on your provider..

its because of sim card error please insert some other sim card and on it for at least 5 hour once mobile frequency clock will set to new sim card then re insert old sim card it will take effect 100 %

most people put it in wrong to many times so it asks for a PUK code then ring provider for the PUK

When i insert my simcard in my new phone it says enter phone lock then comes up enter sim lock, help


your phone is locked to certain network (ie you have T-Mobile SIM and phone is locked to Vodafone). Get it unlocked, but don't pay more than £15.

I can be at home and 1 minute it will be full signal and without me moving it dropps to like 1 signal and wont send messages! what do i dooo?


dude i think u should change ur sim card... if u trust ur simcard company and u think it provides good network range then problem is in ur phone
u should replace signal ic of ur phone

I think that is because of your service provider. Try with a different valid SIM card.

suggestions:
  • try inserting a new SIMcard of similar network, and if this work with your phone, secure a good signal.. then try sending a simple message.. then recieving a message..
  • try inserting a new SIMcard of different network, and if this work with your phone, secure a good signal.. then try sending a simple message.. then recieving a message..
  • if both/either this doesn't work, try getting back your original phone settings...
  • still doesnt work? have your phone serviced by a qualified cellphone technician..
