Question about RCA 32V420T 32" TV
My television was working fine last night and this morning for an hour
after us waking up. The television started turning itself on and off
after that. I tried the power button and it will not turn the TV on.
When the TV comes on I try to go through the menu and the TV shuts off.
I did trouble shooting with the cable
company to make sure it was not the cabe box and it isn't. I have come
to the conclusion that it is however the TV and I would like to know
how to fix it. I have not yet unplugged the TV and it continuosly goes
on and off. I had volume when it was on this morning, now the volume is
turned completly up and there is no sound. Please help.
I am having the same problem as this person. I have tried unplugging it for several days now, and problem persists everytime I turn it back on. Please let me know what to do. The remote does not work AT ALL neither do the buttons on the front of the TV.
The most common problem with shut down on this model is the HVT drifs. In short, you need to set the G2 to 290v, with no signal and a blue screen. If this is to + or - 5 volts set will shut down after 10 to 15 seconds. If this does fix your set, its a sign HVT is going out. I wouldn't advise repair of this set. Its not worth it.
