Hi,
To exit closed caption do the following.
1. Press the menu button and select CC and press OK button.
2. In CC menu select MODE and using right arrow or left arrow button select it OFF
3. Press OK button
4. Press menu button to exit menu option.

Cannot get the closed captioning to go away on my panasonic viera plasma.
Look for button marked STTL on the tv remote. Not the remote that came with the dvd or home theatre. The actual TV remote.

We can't get the Closed Caption to turn off on our 42 inch Panasonic Viera. We cannot find the manual either. Any solutions?
go into your menu, then set up there you will see cc turn it off, hope this helps
