Question about SanDisk Audio Players & Recorders

1 Answer

When i playback music on my 4 mo. old Sansa Fuze, the music will stop and, if i'm lucky, will start again a few seconds later. first i thought it was in the recording that I was causing some problem, but it's not. the recordings are fine. it's the Fuze. (and no, it hasn't been dropped and i didn't take it swimming with me) is this something that could be a defect? i bought it at Target and they are horrible about returns. After 90 days, they take no responsibility whatsoever (and i didn't purchase the extended warranty). Please help. Thanks in advance.

Hey, try for the warrenty, this could be a defect. other things you can try is
1.) formatting the player
2.) upgrading the firmware (check the manufactures website for your player, its usually in the manual)
3.) replacing the mainboard (get one from the manufactures site)

If those fail then there is littile you can do next to buying a new one. Repairs to the device itself isnt possible from home or a smallelectronics shopt. it can only be done by a service center.

Basically if formatting it, or upgrading the firmware dont work you need a mainboard for it.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

My sansa fuze is stuck - it is on but will not turn off, play music or anything.

It can be reset; here is the directions:

kb.sandisk.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/188

Simply hold the power slide in the up position for 20 seconds or so, and viola, it resets itself. After letting go of the power slide, just turn it on like normal; it should start working again.

I've had to do it a couple of times in the few years I've owned it, myself. It is easy if you know about the procedure.

Have a nice day..

I recently purchased a Sansa Clip MP3. I downloaded audiobooks to it but they will not play. What do I need to do?

Not true!!! The Sansa Clip is actually the best mp3 player I have found for listing to audiobooks. Here is what you need to do. Download the latest firmware update on the Sandisk website. You must do this or it just won't work unless you are downloading books from Audible.

I use the Overdrive Media Console and download mp3 and WMA books from my state library. When you hit transfer, be sure it hit advanced options. Browse until you select the audiobook folder on your player. Then transfer to that.

The player will bookmark your last place on anything that is in your audiobook folder. You can easily switch back and forth between your music and book without losing your place! Love it!

It even has a sleep timer on it. I'm in heaven.

My Sansa Fuze 4gb wont turn on and isnt being recognized by my computer, iv also tried to soft reset it many times , nothing seems to work.. help plz..

I've had the same problem with my Sansa Fuze 2GB. It's pretty frustrating, but in order to get it to work, I let it sit without touching it or doing anything with it for a few days. For 2-5 days, do not turn on your Sansa Fuze. After the amount of time has passed, try the soft reset again.

Synchronize to continue your music subscription

first you must format the player using msc mode then after that retransfer the songs to the player. If you are receiving this message it means that the songs on the player have expired. This is normal if you download the songs off rhapsody, napster or any online music stores and if you have ripped songs iwht copy protect music on it if you ripped them using windows media player 10.
