Possible to fix Power Spec B633 that becomes totally unresponsive if unattended for 15+ minutes?

Most common cause of what you describe is either the power supply or overheating. To troubleshoot this unplug everything that is connected to the computer and all the items that are on the motherboard inside except the power supply and power it on. You should hear the beep signal. IF you don't then it could be the power supply. That is the cheapest thing to replace without a power supply tester. If you do hear the beep, shut it down and put the ram in and try again, then if you hear a beep, plug in the hard drive and try again, then the video card and keep going till you find the bad part. If it is the CPU that is overheating you may not be able to tell right away.

No keyboard message, says tpo power down but not sure how to

To power down, press and hold the power button for 10 seconds, and the system will do an automatic shutdown.

To turn the computer back on again, just press and release the power button, and the computer should start right back up again.

It's pretty easy, really.
It's just that a lot of people leave their computers on constantly, so it never gets powered off.

I hope this helps you out, and have a good day.

Generally, you right click on a blank spot on your desk top; personalize, and reset your picture to stretch, or tile or as you have it center.
Another choice is download Picasa from Google. It is a great picture catalogue program that allows you to choose your desktop background.

Under display settings, it's best to use default theme like vista or xp theme. You can also go to screensaver, then power options and set how long it takes for monitor to shut off. I also recommend updating the video card drivers.

Unable to open files

Do you have full rights to these files or have lost the rights to them? To find this out, right click a text file, choose properties, click on the Security Tab, click on your name is the list pane. Do you see Full Control in the security options below?

Your Security Descriptors may be corrupted. Bring up the Run Command from the Start Menu, type 'cmd' without the apostrophes. In the command box type: chkdsk /f /x c: You should receive an option to reboot as Handles are Open on C. If you get an error message that you do not have rights to do this: Double Click My Computer, right click C drive, choose Properties, click on the Tools Tab and then select "Check for Errors" box. You will be prompted to restart you computer at some point. Let it restart and while it is restarting it will attempt to fix the security descriptor files. Once you get a Desktop you can try again. If you still have a problem, you will want to create a new account for Windows and then try again. If you still have an issue, you probably have malware or a virus that has infected your drive. Go online to and run their online virus scanner.

I can't figure out how to change get to the batteries on my logitech cordless mouse so i can change them.

Hi teresa - On your mouse you'll see the Logitech logo. A little away from the logo, towards the scroll wheel, you'll find some raised lines or grooves. I do this with one hand because my right hand's paralyzed. You can do it however you want. Here's how I do it: I use my left hand, ring and little finger on left side, thumb on right side of mouse. Take your index finger and gently yet firmly push on the raised lines and pull back away from the scroll wheel. The cover should come right off. I hope I described this well enough. Like I said I use one hand but I'm sure you'll get the jist. If this solved your problem PLEASE rate this as fixed. If you need more help just add a comment and I'll be happy to assist you further. Thanks.
