Have you changed the batteries in the hand-held transmitter? If not, that may be the problem. Be sure you use fresh batteries out of the package and not recycled ones. If changing the batteries does not solve the problem. Unplug the fireplace from the electrical receptacle and leave unplugged for 10-15 minutes. This will allow enough time for it to reset itself.

Hope this solves your problem.

My kenwood kr-v7030 won't turn off anymore with remote or manually.

Either the remote battery are flat or the frequency settings have changed. You can check with the manual the type of frequency it uses to match the that of the Kenwood. Sometimes there are switches you can change to adjust the correct frequency. Others have a learning code set by the manufacturer and are usually in the operation manual. If you want to test whether the remote is transmitting the signal to the Kenwood or not, Please do this...

If you have a digital camera or smartphone camera, switch the camera on and look at the viewfinder or camera screen; for smartphone, in a moment, then point the remote to the camera lens and press the volume button, which keeps sending the signal to the to control the volume of Kenwood system. If you see the infrared light on the remote flashing, then the remote is fine.

Now, about the smartphone camera. Start the camera and switch it for video capture (filming) and then point the remote towards the camera lens, and likewise you should see the remote light when doing the same tests as you with the video camera. If the infrared light lights up when pressing on the volume, the remote is fine.
It could be Kenwood, which requires factory repairs, not by you.

Any suggestions why my pro24z remote has frozen it is fully charged

sure your remote has frozen? you can check if it is still working, by pointing it to a digital camera (camera in a phone is fine) Then press one or a few buttons on the remote and look on the mnitor screen of the camera if you see a light flickering.
If you see a light, the remote is still working.
If some buttons don't work anymore, check if somebody poured in some soda or coffee. If so, you could try cleaning it. but the best thing to do is buy a new remote. Read how manny questions are here about "universal" remote controllers and all their problems and you might decide to buy the original.

Don't forget to replace batteries so now and then.

May remote is not working anymore. What can I do

You can try verifying to see if it is putting out any signal by using you digital camera, just point the remote at the camera lens, you should see flicking light on you camear screen when you push any button on the remote. If you do not see any thing then you will have to open up the remote and look for cracked solder joints, usually at the IR diode leads.

Remote won't turn set on anymore!

Hi Smittie, I had a similar problem with another type of TV set. All functions work well except power. The solution was to replace the batteries, perhaps they are running low. It will also reset the remote which might help as well. Hope this will work for you too. Cheers.
