It could be that the console is not correctly syncing up to the network properly. This can happen in a number of ways, such as electric power issues that caused the console to turn off-and-on suddenly.

To solve it, you might have to do a hard reboot of the console. This is what to do:

  1. turn off your PS3 by using the power toggle switch at the back of the console and then unplugging the power cord.
  2. Once you do that, power off your modem (also the router if you have one as well) by unplugging the power supply.
  3. What about a minute or so then plug back your modem. Wait for it to sync for internet access.
  4. If you have a router, plug that in next and wait for it to sync as well. Otherwise skip to the next step.
  5. Once your modem and router devices are back on and you have Internet, go ahead and plug your PS3 back and turn it on.
  6. Access the Network Settings menu and see if you can create a new connection.

8071053D - Hard boot the PS3, turn off the PS3 to stand-by, flip off the back swtich and remove the power cord. Then shut off your modem/router, for about 5 mintues, then turn the modem back up first and let it sync, then turn the router back on(if using one) and let it sync. Reconnect your power cable and flip the back swtich up again. Then make a new network connnection.

I go to sign into my playstation network online acount an it comes up with an error message saying "an error acured u were signed out:error code (8071053d)" and it will not let me log in ne ways...

PSN are carrying out maintenance until around 9pm tonight. So until then we all have to wait. Nothing to worry about though. Nothing wrong with your PS3. Hope this helps.

Playstation Network error 807153D

Are you sure that it isn't 8071053D? Because your number you posted is short by one number and that one shows up on Sony's error code tool. --> PlayStation Knowledge Center ' Support - PlayStation.com

If it is then you just need to do a hard boot to your console (turn off power and switch off on the back of the system also) for a few minutes and then turn on and try again.

It could also be congestion with your internet......you may just need to try it later.

Try to sign in and error code 8071053D keeps appearing

  1. Turn the PS3 to standby power off.
  2. Turn off the power on the PS3 by using the power toggle switch on the back of the PS3 and unplug power cord.
  3. Restart your wireless router, if using one.
  4. Plug in the PS3 power cord and power on the PS3.
  5. Try creating a new connection on the PS3 by accessing the Network Settings menu option on the PlayStation 3.
go for a minimum of 5 minutes in between each step to properly clear it
