I have been bailed out by www.sewingpartsonline.com and www.sew4less.com a couple of times for parts on a couple of older machines that I have. They also have manuals for purchase too. I think that I would call them and see if there is a substitute, ie. needle clamp for 14u64 and see if it would work. I know how frustrating it is to try and find parts and manuals, I hate to see a good machine go to waste. Good luck.

Singer serger ultralock 14U34 is making a clunk sound. What might be wrong?

Possibly a bent needle. Needles should be changed every 8 hours of use.

Singer ultralock 14u64a jumbles thead on bottom

try changing the needle
rethread the top thread-- Correct needle insertion is mandatory for proper use of your sewing machine.
Raise the needle bar to the highest point, then loosen the needle clamp screw to remove the old needle.
Place the new needle in the needle clamp with the flat side of the needle facing the back, (round needle, the groove in the needle should face away from the shaft).
Push the needle all the way up as far as it will go. Then tighten the needle clamp screw.
also check the bobbin to make sure that it's threaded correctly
& inserted correctly into the bobbin case

I have an older model singer serger Model 14U85 Ultralock. The chainstitch needle set screw hole has stripped. Can that whole piece be replaced on my machine?

Call Singer at 1-800-4singer and see if they can sell you that part. I am sure that they can because they do not change the parts that much on the machines. Good luck
