Question about Creative Labs Zen Vision Digital Media Player

Zen vision 30 gb front buttons don't respond

My zen vision doesn't respond to input for the front buttons. Everything else works fine. I think its a firmware issue but I cant renew the firmware because i have to use the buttons to confirm the reset. Any suggestions?

It was my problem, too. I simply disassembled my device and found that the contacts of front button pad have disconnected because it was bad fixed. I have put a piece of a broken match under the pad to fix it and it solved the problem.

Go to the Creative website and D-load the firmware renewal utility for your player. It should detect the player via USB automatically and find the firmware for it via the Internet connection. No buttons required.

The heading for your question says "Creative Zen Vision:M Digital media" I do not think that there was an 8GB Vision M. I have a 30 GB Vision M and I think there was only a 30 and a 60 GB of that model.Perhaps you have another model, and it could be a 20gb, as that what you may be seeing. I have a creative zen vision m 30 gb, it works fine on xp but when i plug it in to my laptop running vista 32 bit its doesnt allow the mtp driver to load any ideas


May be the Mp3 player drivers is not compatible with Vista............ If ur Mp3 player came with a CD try to use that if not if the mp3 player has a Driver download online u can go for that......... Good Luck.......000000

Creative zen 8gb wont switch on or recharge


I had the same problem. Tried recharging from both PC and mains recharger. Tried re-setting and re-charging. All I got was the blue charging light pulsing on and off. The ZEN would not charge. Eventually I tried a Software re-set. (Slide the on/off button to the On position and hold it there whilst hitting the re-set button). I then tried re-charging and everything was fine. (It did take about 10 - 15 mins recharing from the PC before the device did actually respond, but that is normal after it is fully discharged)

Cannot guarantee the above will work every time or for everyone, but it saved me returning it to Creative and an eight week wait.

Full Data not showing on the Nomad Zen Jukebox.


When the player displays the Creative logo, release the Play button.
It will display the following options:
Clean Up
Scans the player and removes invalid links from its music library.

FM Tuner not working.


has the unit been dropped?
the antenna is the ear phones so other than that it looks like the units fm tuner is bad.
