Question about Refrigerators

1 Answer

Subject: 'New' Kenmore bottom freezer refrigerator door dispensor error code. Fridge+freezer work, however, digital display has following error code: "Er......1F" where "Frz Temp+Ref Temp" displays are located. Unplugging+plugging power cord resets and it works for just a few minutes before going back to error codes. That stops water/ice maker from working also. Fridge is only a few months old. 1st time for problem. Any help appreciated, thanks, regards, Mark. Note: (doors were removed/installed upon delivery to fit kitchen entrance).

Yes, just got off phone with Sears repair. Part will be replaced under warranty this Friday. (They are 'bending over backwards' to fix this 'new' fridge since I am a Sears Reward customer). Their technical dept. knew all about that specific code and should R+R the ice maker fan motor with no problem. Thanks! Regards, Mark.

This is a bad fan motor (click here like a sample replacement) inside the back wall of the freezer, you will need to replace it with part number that could look it accroding with your model. You can order the parts you need from the following places:

So, according with your comments, if your device has few months, before to take off some part, I suggest contact your dealer or technical service keeping under warranty service.

Hope this helps.

That is where the error codes come up on an LG unit (quote), the computer is not seeing feedback from the fan, which has been a major problem since this unit has come out on the market, usually you can unplug the unit for 5 minutes and plug it back in, the error code may not come back for days, weeks or months, but it always comes back to the fan motor...

I gave you the wrong part number this is the ice maker fan motor, sorry about that, the error is IF not 1F If it was the freezer fan the FF would come up, the correct part number is XXXXX (check sample here).

Kenmore Elite model # 795.77564600 refrigerator stops cooling; display on left side door reads ER FF

This is an error code that pertains to the evaporator motor but could also be the main board.
If the evaporator motor is running, the main board will probably need to be replaced.
It could be a wiring problem but it's not very likely.

If the motor is not running, some voltage checks will need to be made, at the motor and board, to determine which component has failed.
These checks require a meter and can be difficult to make, even for a technician.

Kenmore Elite Trio Fridge - Getting ER F5 error on display

Er-FS error code: Failure of freezer sensor.
I have been finding the fuseable link in the defrost system on these models open preventing the defrost cycle.
This would involve removing the freezer back panel and removing the sensor and fuse from the evaporator.
It's just a plug in.

Kenmore elite refrigerator water dispensor not working

If you just got this unit, did you purchase it new? Or if it's uner a year old then you should call sera for service under the war. Also, when you first start the unit water has to go through the water tank and it takes 3 - 5 mins before the water starts to work when first hooked up, then should be ok after that. There are several things that can cause the problem. Could have a kinked line in the ref, a bad water valve or even a frozen water tank. Also, did the water ever work since you had it?

Kenmore bottom freezer refrigerator

This sounds like the Maytag bottom mount that has a High Voltage Control Board problem. Does this have the freezer/fridge temp. display/controls on the left hand fridge door? Whats the model number and on the manufacture tag does it something on it like Code:0304 maybe? Let me know I may have an answer I do work on these for a living.
