No they will not work as the loading mechinism would not be able to grab ahold of the discs. Normal cd/dvd's load because the mechanism grabs by the sides of the disc and the 3'" disc would be to small.
Was this a burned dvd or a store bought one? Sounds like the laser that reads dvd is dirty, try to play another dvd and see what happens after cleaning.
the audio format may not be supported...if the files are supported than it might be the file protecting switch (dont know exactly what its called.) if not then i apologize thats passed me...
hook up the ground with the pink and when you are in am/fm mode hit the dvd set
up button on the remote, input the no. 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, and 0 make sure
it beeps after every no. has been pressed. then it should bring up the
hidden menu select the hammer option and turn on the brake bypass
option. your done.
