Since your circuit breaker is blowing instead of the fuse, the odds are that you have a door switch, door switch mount or door hinge alignment issue.

If you or someone you know decide to look into it, we have critical safety information, info on door switch diagnosis and replacement, and disassembly information at our site, and our link is at our listing here on FixYa.

You can probably find exploded views and order parts by entering your model number here at the Sears parts site.

There is also a chance that the high voltage capacitor is shorted.

Here is a link you or someone you know can use for test help, but read their safety warnings first:
http://www.gallawa.com/microtech/cap_test.html

We're happy to help you with free advice and we'd appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.

How do I change the front exhaust to top exhaust on a Kenmore microwave/hood

Hi,

In order to change the venting on the microhood you need to uninstall the unit and at the top of the microwave is the blower unit. Remove the cover, flip the blower and you should then see the fins on the motor, reinstall the unit under the cabinet and your good to go. I hope this helps, good luck

Just need to re set the clock

Barbara, Google the model number with "manual" to locate (if you do not have it) the book.

Or, contact the customer service for this unit--I am sure with the recent time change they are getting a lot of calls.

How far out does a microhood sit from the cabinet. My cabinets are 12 inches and the microhood I want is 16 deep. Also it will be 19 inches above my stove.

Don't know right off the top of my head, but the installation instructions should tell the min and max height from the stove. If they don't you may want to contact an electrician to find out.

Oven won't work

I would suggest unplugging the oven from the wall for a few minutes, then plugging it back in. If it still has a problem, you may need a new keypad, which can be had here: http://www.samsungparts.com/search/search.asp A bad keypad may be worn out due to age, damaged, or it may have gotten wet or otherwise contaminated. Moisture and contamination can be caused by not using the fan when boiling on the stove top (for over the range models), direct spraying of cleaners, by storing the microwave in an unheated garage or shed, or infestation. I warn my customers to never spray cleaner directly onto the microwave keypad, since the liquid can get inside and "lock up" or even ruin the keypad or controller. If you or a friend decide to work on it, we have *critical* safety, disassembly, and troubleshooting info at our site, which is linked at our listing here on FixYa: http://tinyurl.com/yzjozk Post back here if you need more help. If you don't have the owner's manual, you can download it here: http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/content/UM/200305/20030529152504390_MW1030WC_02601A.pdf

Kenmore microhood

"Microhood" seems to be a slang term for the "microwave hood" (hood fan or exhaust fan) which is normally part of an over-the-range microwave oven or range. But these should be available separately, as I seem to recall. I would contact home centers such as Lowe's, Home Depot (if they still exist), etc., or a local appliance store.

Microhood turntable not working

You can find an exploded view of your microwave at http://www3.sears.com (yes, the 3 is there). Ref # 3009 on the drawing is the turntable motor. I would grab it by the shaft and gently try to turn it. If it's locked up or grinding, that's a sign it's bad. It runs $24.49 plus shipping: Part Description: Quantity: Part Number: Model Number: Price: TT MOTOR 6549W1S013D 721.64663300 $ 24.49 $ 24.49 Be sure to unplug the oven before you work on it. Hope this helps!
