Problem for Sony DVP-NS715P DVD Player

Anyone one having any trouble with or know what would cause a DVD to go black
and lose sound in the middle of a movie and then a few seconds later begin to
play again.
This happens with rentals and new out of the box DVD's. I have tried cleaning
them with alcohol but it doesn't help. It is a Sony DVP NS715P.

This happens as many as 3 times a minute then will be allright for awhile then
do it again randomly. It isn't just one time.
Dives me nuts trying ot watch a movie , always seems to happen at the best
parts of the movie like right at at a loud explosion or flash of bright light.

If it happens once per movie, usually around the middle of it, its perfectly
normal, and its called the layer change. Most better new players show very
little pause at the layer change.
