Question about Toshiba Satellite A205-S4617 Notebook
There seems to be a problem with the laptop..
It starts up just fine, and when i get to my main desktop and double click on .. any icon (ex. internet explorer, etc) it does nothing.
The page eventually loads in 10 mins. and then freezez, and says 'Not Responding' and I can't do anything. It's not just with Internet Explorer. It's everything. I've done virus scans, etc. everything is fine. my diagnostic tests come out 'clean' and everything is fine but i can't do anything.
i dont know what to do. any suggestions?
This sounds like a malware issue. There is new variation of Vundo going around at the moment that destroys basic functions of the machine.
This particular version of Vundo is quite hard to remove.
Two things I would try:
1. Use system Restore to restore your machine to a point back last week or so before this problem started.
2. Go here and download Malwarebytes to a pendrive, then install and run it on the troublesome machine:
Malwarebytes has proved quite successfull in dealing with this latest version of Vundo.

Try using Mozilla firefox, which loads straight to Google. If that works use that for internet. If it does work, try uninstalling windows Internet Explorer and reinstalling it. Also make sure you download all windows updates as this will fix most issues with IE!

First remove the battery and run only on the adapter... If it works fine then there is no problem with adapter...... Charge the battery continuously for 4 hours without seeing the percentage of charging and remove the adapter..... If the laptop runs on battery for 45 mins then it might be the problem with drivers..... Go to device manager and reinstall the drivers if it is less than 45 mins.... Reinstall the drivers either ways...... If still the problem persists.... Go to HP.com and and select software and driver downloads and give the product number.... select the OS... Select HP battery check.... Download the file (sp32299.exe) and click save.... Save file onto the desktop and close the site..... Run the exe file.... If it passes the battery is fine... If fails replace the battery....
The steps might be longer..... But i can assure that it will work
