Have a fs88 brushcutter. Had a new fuel tank fitted (by stihl supplier) but now everytime I put brushcutter away the fuel tank has drained out onto the floor. I do not hang brushcutter up it is flat on the floor. Also after about 30 mins of running it seems to struggle for fuel, I open fuel cap and this seems to solve the issue for 10 mins or so.

If your brushcutter does not run or rev, clean out the exhaust, some of them have a small mesh baffle which needs to be kept clean. If it clogs up just sit down for aawhile with a very sharp neddle or something similar and unclog the little holes, this is a better option than buying a nes one.

My stihl fs 220 brushcutter starts and dies soon after

Your carb is probably clogged at the tiny screen side of the carb. Or your fuel filter inside the tank is bad and it's not letting fuel to the carb. It seems like a fuel deficiency problem.

I have just replaced the spark plug, fuel lines, brand new carby, and new ignition module, but will not start. any thoughts. It is a Stihl FS85 BRUSHCUTTER. Thanks.

I had the same model and always had a hard time getting it to start after taking it to shop it started three times ok then the hard to start all over again. It now is in the trash as I refuse to put any more money into it. Stihl makes a great chainsaw but I would never buy another trimmer or brushcutter from them again.

Where to find serial number

Most of the modern stihl equipment have the serial numbers on a sticker, check the bottom of the fuel tank. If it isn't new then it would have no doubt been removed or worn away. Sometimes its stamped onto the housing of the machine or on the plastic clutch housing of some equipment

STIHL BRUSHCUTTER VERY HARD TO STARTAND WON

Could be a fueling issue, check fuel lined and fuel tank vent. Vents can become damaged and create a vaccum in the fuel tank, stopping the carb from drawing up fuel from the tank.

My Homelite XH2XS-0254RA Trimmer gas lines have broken off inside the gas tank, can replacement parts be obtained

Hi carlfreeland...
Yes, your fuel lines can be replaced, be sure to get the right size to fit your machine.
Go to your parts supplier with the model/serial number and manufacturer of your weedeater.
Most of the time there will be two size fuel lines, the bigger one is the one the fuel filter inside your tank is connected to.
