Question about Ricoh Aficio 3025 All-In-One Laser Printer

Tray problems I'm getting an error code of SC501 Functional Problems with Tray 1. The wrench symbol is lit up. I clear the jam, but it just happens again! How can I fix this?

    it say "reset tray" then it goes to sc code. tried on and off still the same

SC501 is a problem with the first tray. Usually comes up if the paper wasn't loaded properly. Turn the power off, reload the paper back into tray 1, and turn the power on again. That should correct the problem.

This state can be reached in the following circumstances:
  • Paper tray is empty
  • Door open
  • Paper jam
  • Misfeed from tray

Action

Verify that the print cartridge is present and that the print-cartridge door is closed correctly.
Verify that media is present in the input tray.
Clear any jams and perform paper-path functional checks.
To reset the printer after a jam, press the Go button.
You might need to clear the error manually, and press the Go button or close the top cover.

Copier Gestetner Dsc530 (or Ricoh Aficio mp c3000) has error SC501 - tried to reset, but need to replace thermistor. Can't find a diagram on where it's located on the fusing unit. Anyone?


Error code SC501 is not a fuser problem. It is the top paper feed tray. Take all of the paper out of tray 1 and turn the machine all the way off. Turn it back on. Code should be cleared. If it returns with no paper in it the paper feed station has a broken part and can only be repaired by replacing it.

What this light sequence means that the printer has a paper jam.

When a paper jam occurs, the printer stops and the operator panel's Paper Jam light and Continue button lights come on. Press and release Continue twice quickly to display the specific secondary error paper jam light sequence.


How to clear Paper Jam

Press Continue button twice quickly to see the secondary error code.


To get the secondary error codes

When the Error light (!) and Continue button lights are both on, a secondary error has occurred.

When the Paper Jam light (4th light) and Continue button lights are both on, a paper jam secondary error has occurred.

Press and release Continue button twice quickly to display the secondary error code light sequence.


Press Continue button to resume printing once all the jammed pages are cleared from the paper path.

We recommend that you clear the entire paper path when a paper jam occurs.


To clear a paper jam:


1 If you are feeding paper from a tray, remove the tray, and then remove any jams.

2 Open the front cover and remove the print cartridge assembly.

NOTE: Do not leave the print cartridge assembly exposed to direct light for an Extended period of time. Extended light exposure can cause print quality problems.

3 Remove any jams in the area behind the print cartridge assembly.

4 Lift the flap at the front of the printer and remove any jams beneath the flap.

5 Open the rear exit and remove any jams.

6 After you have cleared the jams, reinstall the print cartridge assembly, make sure all printer covers and trays are closed, and then press Continue button to resume printing.

NOTE: The printer reprints the pages that caused the paper jam.

Battery indicator seems fine. Wrench symbol is lit. Chair won't respond to joystick control. Any suggestions? It worked when I put it away a few months ago and now, nothing.


The wrench symbol being lit indicates a problem. Does the wrench symbol blink? when you try to engage the joystick the brakes should try to engage and you would hear them click and the symbol will flash. The number of flashes telling you what is wrong. If the symbol is not flashing and staying on then that also a probem but you can't tell what it is. Either way the chair will have to be checked by a tech that has a programmer to plug into the chair and read the error codes to determine the problem. Check with your provider that sold you the chair to see if they can troubleshoot the chair for you or contact Invacare Tech Support @ 1-800-333-6900 and explain your problem. A paper jam was not cleared in a timely manner, now the machine will only display "Error Code C0202, Call Technician" It is Saturday and I can not get a hold of anyone at our support center. How can I...


C0202= tray 1 elevator failure.
Open tray 1, check and make sure paper is loaded correctly.
With tray open, open and close front door. This will reset error code. With tray 1 open look to see if paper is stuck behind tray in back of machine, if so remove it ( this will block the lift motor for the tray).
Close tray 1, if you hear a popping noise the lift motor is damaged and will have to be replaced. Until it is replaced operate machine with tray 1 out to prevent error code.

Hello sir;You must remove the left side panel to access the service switch(s1) on PWB A you press this switch to chose the "C" then enter 0 press "#" ,then press "CLEAR" to terminated.

Getting a red ''wrench'' symbol, spits out blank page when making copy, error message to turn off/on main switch which we have done, but doesn't clear the error. The red ''wrench'' symbol keeps coming...


Press "clear/stop" and "8" at the same time. An error code will be displayed as long as these two buttons are held down. What is the error code? Let me know, please.

You manually rotated the aluminum drum? Since you did that, I would suspect you have the print head wiper blade stuck between the drum and print head. The code you are getting it caused by the print head not being able to move freely.
The jamming is probably due to a bad registration clutch. Common failure on that machine.
You can go to Xerox.com, there is under documentation and drivers a parts list for that machine. You can reference the wiper blade and get the clutch part number there.

Your system has some problems. If this problem occurs,
contact your service representative.
On Line/Error LED
lights red
• Paper jam occurs. To solve the problem, see “Clearing
Paper Jams” on page 5.6.
• The front cover is open. Close the front cover.
• Paper tray is empty. Load the paper in the Tray.
• The toner cartridge is out of toner. Remove the old toner
cartridge and install a new one. See “Installing the Toner
Cartridge” on page 2.4.
• You pressed the Cancel button while the printer is
receiving data.
• In Manual Feed mode, there is no paper in the manual
tray. Load paper into the manual tray.
• If the printer is receiving data, the On Line/Error LED
slowly blinks green.
• If the printer is printing the received data, the On Line/
Error LED blinks green fast.
