Hello. I had this unit installed two years ago for my autistic son. It has performed great but last week the monitor "dropped" from the unit, tearing the ribbon wire in half. Panasonic has been of NO help to secure a ribbon wire replacement. The monitor dropped because the post screw loosened up to the point where the monitor's weight simply pulled it down.
Any advise out there to repair the ribbon or get a replacement?

I can only help a little because i have the same problem as you.. i just know the normal wire colors for aftermarket car audio stuff. Red is acc, yellow it batt and black is ground. all the other wires, i have no clue where they go or why. I know one is for the parking brake but im not sure what wire that is but i know it has one because it has to by law.
I had the same issue with a Toyota factory DVD, and found several remotes on eBay. I just searched for panasonic car dvd remote and found two listings right away. If neither of those are compatible with your player, just check back again in a week.
i just wondering can you play your movie through your car speaker b/c i had install with this professional store and they said it can't play through the car they don't have that feather. soo please reply to email@example.com to let me know thankz
I purchased a 2003 Yukon w/ this identical problem, I found one of the wire harnesses on the back of the main radio head to be loose (back right as you pull the radio unit out. I made sure it was plugged in tight and everything worked.
