Check your hot water supply. It should be at least 125 degrees. Are the dishes spotty or still dirty with old food? Try to pre-rinse your dishes before putting them into the dishwasher. You can also run your hot water until it's nice and hot coming from the sink before turning your dishwasher on. If they're spotty, use less or better quality detergent.
