Memory upgrade Hello. I have this pc and would like to upgrade the memory. I don't know what memory I need to upgrade to. I've been told it can only take DDR 667 is this true? Any suggestions/help would be really appreciated. I don't know anything about laptops.

Your machine will hold a max of 2g, either PC5300 (667) or PC4200 (533). Here's a link to a memory configurator that has the info on your machine.

I m trying to upgrade my HP compaq nc6320 RAM MEMORY from 1GB to 4GB, Do i need BIOS upgrade if yes from were i can find the drivers and how can i do it? thanx i am gone wait for respond......

Hi,

As far as I know, the machine supports 4GB of ram, so you purchase the ram modules from a pc parts dealer and install them inside the machine, removing the existing ram, there are 2 slots, so you need 2, 2GB cards.

You do not require any drivers or bios update.

Windows will need to be upgraded to 64Bit version if you wish to use the full capacity. as normal windows is limited to 3-3.75GB

Further questions? let me know.

Upgrading a pc is depends on your motherboard if your motherboard supports the upgrade that you want to do in your pc..Like what you've said your RAM is 459MB if you want to upgarade it make sure you know first what type of memory you have like for example SDRAM DDR or DDR2 if you know what type of RAM you have make sure you also know how much memory does your motherboard support.. HOpe it helps you.

Hi. My Dell Inspiron 1525 is not working. The message is try to reseat the memory. What should I do?

If you've added/removed/upgraded the memory recently, the answer would be to open the system up and remove the memory dimms, then pop them back into the original slots they were in. It could be that one of the memory dimms aren't correctly seated in the slot.
If you haven't had the system upgraded recently and you don't want to open the system up the only answer is to take it in to the service center and have the memory dimm/s reseated.
Worst-case scenario is that the memory dimm in question is faulty and needs replacement. This isn't very likely, but definitely possible.
Good luck.

I have acer aspire one note book i want softwarre upgradation

Hello,

I recommend FireFox

Download Adobe Flash player

As I don't know what current Acer Aspire One model type you have, I can not advice upgrade for memory.
As far as I know the AoA150, you'd have to open the entire laptop just to reach the memory and upgrade it.
The AOA150 has a kind of build in RAM on the mainboard BUT has a additional slot where you can add additional memory.

I want to upgrade my dell gx 260 to the new windows 7 os .idid aupgrade advisor report online. it said i needed to upgrade my graphics adapter and ram memory.

Hello!

If you want my advise, don´t do that. I see how like windows 7, and I can say that is windows xp sp3, very fast and flexible, and safe, and don´t need so much. Windows 7 looks like windows vista, and I thik that have stil more trouble.

Add Memory to G4 Notebook

Don it's real easy.

Slim down version

  • Pop the cover and you'll see the motherboard.
  • Atach anti-static cable to chasis of pc and touch the battery pack or pc frame.
  • Put the card in the memory slot.
  • Remvoe cable adn replace cover.
  • Re-start pc.
Note:

I wouldn't fix your pc on carpet (static reasons) or while your standing wearing socks on carpet with the Mac on the table (obviously).

Sounds simple but you've never believe how may people forget.

That's it.

Adding memory and bios upgrading

hey man, I checked the asrock website

Support DDR-II 667/533/400,
If your going to keep the 533mhz memory in your pc, then I recommend you get another 533mhz, becouse if you get a 667mhz the 667 will run as 533mhz becouse the 533mhz memory is slowing it down.

If you need more assistance let me know, I'm here to help
