I don't know how to replace the fan felt. - Haier HLP140E Electric Portable Dryer

  • Mary Dacey Apr 05, 2019

I have tried everything trying to get that bolt off inside the dryer. The boat is encased by a long plastic tube that the filter fits on. Have been trying for 2 weeks to do this. My neighbor came over a little while ago with his whole ratchet set and none of the ratchets fit on this nut. The nut on my dryer hlp140e is different from any nut we have ever seen. It only has two edges to grip onto. Can't get it off to use my dryer can't get the plastic thing off either without breaking it and then I won't be able to use the filter. Please help! Can't get the arm off either to get to the pulley.

I own the Haier Dryer and found the red/orange fan belt by searching part # WD-0350-37 @APPLIANCE PARTS DEP(-APPLIANCE PARTS DE DALLAS TXUS. The part was cheaper than the other places and the shipping was actually slightly lower. Now putting the belt on was a bit tough. I finally figured out that I needed to remove the bolt inside the dryer with a ratchet.

Cooling fans won't turn on. I replaced coolent

You need a wiring diagram

That would tell you what you did,as
you know what terminals you jumped

Then you look over the rest of the circuit
to continue

Your lucky you didn't short something out

1994mitsubishispacewagon still overheats after replacing auxilliary fan sensor, cleaned the hoses, pls help

Thermostat stuck take it out. leave it out .. try it ...then
put in a new one...or water pump weak. Also try wiring the auxiliary fan and any other fans so that anytime the vehicles motor is ON the fans are ON don't depend on a sensor on a Mitsubishi of that age...fans that don't come on soon enough, or stay on long enough, or turn on at all without letting you know until the motor overheats..... , are the leading cause of death for vehicles~!! lol

I have a Kitchen Aid refrigerator model KTRS20K which stopped working (everything felt warm and freezer not working ). I replaced the defrost timer, it didn't quite match but was told it was a re

That does not sound like a defrost timer problem. Sounds like a condenser or evaporator fan is beginning to fail. They don't always stop when they fail. Many will slow down and stop while you are not looking causing the refrigerator to stop cooling for a while. Let me know if you have any questions, Thanks Sea Breeze

Fans not working/Overheating

Probably the temperature sending unit...if not that the relays...they should be relatively cheap and easy to replace...

Hi all my problem is after 20 minutes the screens goes blue ps3 shuts down seems like overheating

If the fan doesn't change in RPM (listen to the sound of the fan). If the RPM don't change then you probably need to do a system restore. Make sure to back up your system so you Don't loose everything. If it is the fan they are very easy to replace, I can help with that. Let me know.

Holmes "16 fan needs to be lubricated. Where do you add oil

Hi,
No there is no way to lubricate the new cheap fans internally...they are made to run for a bit and then be thrown out...
I have found that by using a thin oil like WD-40 and then positioning the motor so that it runs back the shaft into the motor you can get it to work into the motor. I usually use WD-40 and then follow with a light motor or sewing machine oil. This seems to give a longer solution...

Maytag atlantis

UNPLUG DRYER, 220v is not fun
You get in the back of the dryer, from the front.
maytag dryers have two screws in the curve of the bottom of the front panel. (Note:screws may be torx-secure screws, cut a slot in them and use a flat screwdriver or pick up a torx-secure #20 bit at a tool shop, star shape with a pin in it)
remove the screws and the front panel can be swung up from the bottom and unhooked.
unplug door switch wires
reach under drum, for belt tensioner, pull belt off tensioner. and motor pulley
lift drum up and slide out forward
under drum are 2 rubber tired rollers, check for free motion, replace both if either is seized
the drum has felt bushes on it
examine felts for wear, replace if worn.
ensure all felt and adhesive is scraped from drum before fitting new felts, if there is any left, it bumps/thumps and knocks every rotation (best adhesive is Hi temperature red silicone)
use 2-4 pairs locking pliers(visegrips) to install felt
  • put adhesive on drum edge
  • clip felt in place at one point with visegrip
  • pull felt around drum, clipping in place as you go
  • let sit in clamps till adhsive sets
reassemble drum in reverse order
38d7d07.jpg while you got it apart is a good time to clear any lint from exhaust vents and squirrel cage fan,
felts last cost $30/pair rollers $9/pair
takes 45 minutes now to change felts, I do rollers while the adhesive sets, had a lot of practice, replace the belt, cost is minimal, it has been *****ed pulling the drum against the worn felts or rollers, and will break soon, dont want to open up again
