Question about Samsung V20 XVC 2400 Notebook
We have a samsung np r40 plus, its not very old and we have had this problem since getting the laptop...the screen dims and we cannot see much of the screen sometimes its fine and sometimes not...we have tried changing the optimise for performance etc and have also tested that its not as a result of the battery running out....any ideas what might be wrong or what setting needs changing?
This is possibly, a loose cable or the screens inverter board is overheating. the inverter is similar to a booster in a flourescant light fitting. which converts power from DC To AC and boosts up the panels Light Tube. CFL if it,s faulty or overheating. this will cause the panel to dim.
also check the plunger at the underside of the screen, isn,t sticking down. designed to cut off the panel when the lid is closed. Finally some model laptops, only boost the brightness running on A/C Power. the battery would run-out fast with screen at full brightness. if theres an fn key on the keyboard, press fn and the brightness button to adjust screen brightness.
