I have lost my hpofficejet4255 allinone cd.How should I download it?
Hello. I'm here to fix your problem.
I will insert the download link below for your full featured install file.
You need to know that, before you can reinstall your printer software, you need to uninstall it if its in the list of Add/Remove programs inside of Control Panel. Also, the USB cable needs to be removed before starting. Attach it only when prompted to do so by the installer, or when the installation is finished.
Once you have installed the software correctly and attached your USB cable "when told to do so by the installer", you want to run a 'nozzle check' and then a 'print head alignment' and then a 'print head cleaning' routine. All of these you access from the printer LCD menus. This is important and remember this needs to be done with each change in your cartridges.
Thank you for allowing me to be of assistance.
Please remember to rate this as Fixed when you are done.
If you have further need of assistance or questions, do not rate it now, wait until I have been able to FIX your situation, not try or help to fix your problem but Fix your problem. Thats why we call this site FixYa.com and not "Will Try" or "Will Help".
Ask Me that too via the comment box below to ask further questions.
Here's the link to your driver file it is intended for Windows XP; this is a *very* *very* large file 364MB so be prepared. If yo have Vista go here instead. The Vista package is not quite as large 179MB.
After you download it, run the installer with the USB cable removed and then attach it only when prompted or the installer is finished.
Later, you can burn this file to a CD and store that as a replacement to your lost CD.
If you want to pay for a replacement ask me using the comment box below and I'll send you that link but frankly there is no need to do so. If you need a manual to add to your new disc, ask me that to via the comment box and I'll send you that link as well.
Regards,
Worldvet
