I'm trying to install a new epson stylus nx415 to my toshiba laptop, but everytime I start the runsetup.exe with the software cd, an error message on a blue screen appears and I have to restart my computer

It could be that your CD drive is throwing an internal hardware error causing the BSOD (blue screen of death). You could try copying the contents of the CD to a folder on your Desktop and then run it from there. Or, you could go to this link and download the software: http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/support/supDetail.jsp?oid=128287&prodoid=63083741&infoType=Downloads&platform=Windows

Good luck.

Blue screen

hey this is some kind of OS glitch..
anoder reason mite be is if u download a software or install one..the registry entries of your comp changes and some shell files may also be modified..in this process the system registry and/or shell files may get damaged leading to what you get

Windows Freezing

Boot the system in safe mode
1.) restart the system
2.) pump the F8 Key until a screen comes up with different options
3.) select safe mode,

Try right clicking there and see what happens,, I,m guessing here this is a result of damages done by a previoulsy removed virus (GUESSING) it is possible that the same one could have been shard by all 3,,

I'd advise you'd uninstall norton and use the new avg free

Let me know what hgappens and we can tgake this a bit further

Virus

Assuming you have an anti virus and spyware programme installed:- you need to turn off system restore first as it backs itself up and then run your anti virus programme, prefferably in safe mode, restart the pc and turn system restore back on.
