My webcam is not working even though I am pressing FN+F6, then I started testing other buttons, and I also found out that my F5 doesnt work either, but the rest are OK, the red light should come on when I do turn it on but it doesn't.

Msi webcam was working and now is saying cannot detect when trying to use it

When activating the camera with fn+F6, have you tried looking in the "Device Manager" to see if Windows recognises it ? It could be a driver problem, but just as well a broken cable in the screen hinge.

My Acer ASPIRE 4730Z touch pad stopped working i don't know what is the problem with it.Help me out for this.

On the button with the windows picture on it (start button) next to that (not the ALT key the one to the left) their is a button named FN. And on the top where the F4 F5 F6 buttons are , find the 7! once you find it there should be a picture on a hand in a square! Press and hold the FN button while you press the F7 key!

If your keyboard doesnt have the pictures on them still try pressing the two keys!

If it doesn't work then go into the start menu and click Control Panel! And click Programs. Then Program and Features and find the APLS touchpad driver. and right click! Click Uninstall/Change! Then continue and click continue! And it should give you an option to reinstall! (No replacing anything or taking anything out!) I have never done this so try this option at your own risk!!

I recommend trying the FN and F7 one instead!

Model acer travelmate 4000 nodisplay on lcd and external monitor

You say the trouble is with the keyboard. Can you attach an external keyboard via USB and see if you can push Fn key with F5 (I think it is the F5 key - try Fn with others - keep Fn pressed and repeatedly press the F5 or F6 etc.) several times to see if the screen toggles between LCD and external monitor. For this to work you will have to restart the computer after attaching the external keyboard. Press the start button until the computer goes off, and press again to restart.

Itf you ascertain that the trouble is with the 99.N7082.01D, make sure to try to fit it in correctly, or perhaps the Fn key has some dust or liquid in it so it does not function. Then you have to try to clean it from the inside after you disassemble.

My webcam for my msi is not working properly, it used to work but now it dooesnt even if i press the Fn then F6 it doesnt change it, i also tried using my webcam companion to connect it, it still doesnt...

The best way to restore it is to uninstall the driver and restall again. The driver files maybe corrupted and needs to be reinstall the missing driver. Also, check the device manager to check for driver conflict. It might help you solve your problem.

Unable to use external monitor, comes up black even though its working

I believe NEC has Fn key combinations that not only toggle the video output selections, but there is another that will turn the display on and off. I know on HP, the video toggle combination is Fn + F4.
