The player was loaded with alot of songs but when ever i skipped to aparticular song,it would show power failure and then turn itself off. I erase some files from it but it continued doing the same thing. When i forwarded the song to the end, it just blacked out and now it cannot power and even the computer cannot recognise it.

I was listening to the mp3 files, when suddenly, it turned itsefl off, and it kept the led light on (and it stayed on), until the battery went out of charge. During the time of the still light, i tried to turn it on, but it never responded, i tried to plug it into de pc, but the pc never recognized that there was a usb connected, y tried to reset (restart or reboot) the system by putting the hold button in hold and pressing at the same time the play/on/off and user buttons for a while, but it never responded... is there another way to restart o reset the player?

Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.

Full charge player's battery. Now you must set the power switch to ON position and next hold on the play-pause button for 2-3 seconds. Repeat this step for soft-OFF.

You shouldn"t be able to over charge it.unless there is something wrong with the unit.i had a simular problem with my was fully charged but as soon as i unplug it it would not power on,it would only work when plugged in,i had it replaced under your manufacturer.

Ipod will fully charge but only lasts a short time. whats wrong?

My little brother gave me his ipod shuffle for the same reason, saying the battery was dying and would only play for half an hour after a full night's charge. However, I went ahead and gave it a shot anyway and it always lasts for several hours (long enough that it's never died, so I don't know an actual time).

Anyway, it turned out to be a usb hardware problem. His old computer wasn't built to charge via usb, so the ipod would take what little it could and flop five songs later. I don't know what kind of hardware you're running, but perhaps you could try plugging it into a different computer and seeing if that chnges things?

I would also recommend looking into wall chargers, if that is the case. Otherwise the convenience factor kinda goes out the window.

When i connect my sansa clip 2gb it will not charge. it say connected and then goes off. I thought it was charging but when i checked it the battery had died what do you suggest i do to get it working...

Check for the following:

USB Cable
Make sure that the USB cable is properly plugged in and use the original cable.

Computer in Hibernation mode
Make sure the computer isn’t entering hibernate or sleep mode while the device is connected.  The computer must be on in order to charge your player.

USB Port 2.0
Make sure the player is connected USB 2.0 port (1.1 occasionally causes charging problems).

USB Port location
Try plugging in different USB port (i.e. USB port in the back of the computer); sometimes the front USB ports have problem charging up the device.

Make sure the battery is fully charged.  It takes approximately 3 hours to fully charge the battery.

Latest firmware
Make sure to update firmware by downloading and installing the Sansa Firmware Updater
