My pc is too slow what can i do?frequently it becomes hang.

the easiest solution could be to totally shut down your computer. let it reset itself, and power it back up again. If that does not seem to help, then I would clear the cache on your PC. I would also run a scan - see if there are errors.

Do you have alot of games on your PC? Do you download anything free that is offered? Many times that slows a PC way down.

How can I tell if my computer has a virus?

A common symptom of a virus is much slower than normal computer performance. However, there can be other reasons for slow performance, that needs defragmenting, a computer that needs more memory (RAM)

Are you getting unexpected messages, or are programs starting automatically? Some viruses can cause damage to Windows or some of your programs. The results of this damage might include messages appearing unexpectedly, programs starting or closing automatically, or Windows shutting down suddenly.

Is your modem or hard disk working overtime? An e‑mail virus works by sending many copies of itself by e‑mail. One indicator of this is that the activity light on your broadband or external modem is constantly lit; another is the sound of your computer's hard disk continually working. These are not always symptoms of a computer virus, but when combined with other problems, can indicate a virus infection.

My comp. slows way down when I play facebood helps if I defragment but starts again as soon as I play

Try updating Flash. Most games on facebook have had improvements made but they require the newer version of Flash to work well. Another solution would be to upgrade your RAM memory and to ensure that all automatic updates are turned off when playing. One last thing to consider is facebook itself has recently had many problems with their games crashing and regardless of what computer you use, you'll have issues.

What do i do when comp turns on by itself and say diskette fail

You have a BIOS setting which is prompting your computer to turn on automatically at which point it is trying to read your floppy drive. Step 1, disable your floppy drive as it is no longer supported by the computer industry, then look for settings in your BIOS that have to do with powering on automatically or WO (wake on) settings and disable them.

There are some days when this computer works slow

Possible antivirus or windows updates. They usually run in the background so you wouldn't notice when they are running an update. This is especially the case with Windows. It will slow down the internet speed as well as the Pc itself until it is complete. Apart from that, You may have other programs that automatically run without your knowledge which also update. If the probem gets worse, you may want to download an anti spyware program to check for malware that your antivirus software doesn't catch. Best of luck and hope I've answered your question.

sounds like your computer is either infected with a virus scan it well, free on that works well is avast antivirus, or there are too many programs running and slowing down system, hit control-alt-delete and shut down extra programs and see if this makes difference if it does do selecting start up and shutdon unneeded programs or delete them

Comp. powers on, shuts down three times then goes into powersave

You may want to check the power supply fan whether it works properly or not. Also, you may need to check your BIOS setup if you had done anything with it.

Startup repair failed. cant get to startup screen

did you back-up your important files?, if you did, then you need to reformat your hard disk drive (hdd) and reinstall new system. but if you didn't backup your important files, ask for help at the service center near you, cause it need another hdd to backup some files. then if you have nothing to lose on your hdd then go ahead to reformatting. sometimes that error occur when it didn't undergo proper shutdown
