You have to select monochrome print settings first. go to properties of your printer and choose the tab where you get to select between B&W and color.

Hi,

3175fn is acolor printer. if you want to set only grey or black only print. you have to go to printers & fax. select the printer right click properties and go to color and set as gery or black only print.

You can use OCR, the dpi is high enough, you just need the OCR software on your computer. There are no brains in the printer to convert the images.

You need to click download and then just answer the four quesitons.

secondly. If I were you I would buy a 3 or 4 way splitter and from the wall, go to the splitter then from the splitter go to the fax, phone combo, and phone. This also may make it easier to setup.

The exit sensor is bad, there's a bulletin at Samsung. You need to remove the fuser and the top cover, the sensor is on the top left of machine The sensor is #0604-001393, about $1.00 from Samsung

Have you turned the printer off then tiurn it back on. If you have a paper jam, after you remove the paper, you must restart it for it to clear.
Otherwise, if there is paper still in the printer, turn off the printer remove all 4 toner cartridges and the waste cartridge. Once you do that you may be able to see the paper. You may be able to take one more thing out to where you can see the paper better, I am not sure.

Direct wireless is not applicable to this model. If you have a wi-fi network set-up, you'll have to use a cable to connect the unit directly to your router then configure the printer to be a part of your network. After that, you should be able to do wireless print.
