Whats a control jack on a sony SS-WG450 plug into if i'm hooking it to a JVC reciever?

That subwoofer is included in the MHC-GX450 system. I have the amp/CD/radio unit. but not the subwoofer. The control cable connects the LED on the Sub to the main unit. When the main unit detects this connection to the LED it switches on its internal subwoofer amp to drive the subwoofer.

Does the JVC receiver use a "control" circuit through its external subwoofer unit to signal that it is connected to the subwoofer? If not, you do not need to use the control jack on the
SS-WG450 to connect to the JVC receiver. Connecting the Sony subwoofer to a subwoofer output on the JVC unit may be enough. Do check the impedance required by your JVC receiver. Sony lists the SS-WG450 as having a Nominal impedance of 6 Ohms. Is this high enough for the JVC unit?

I have a jvc sp-pw50 Subwoofer and i want to know if you can buy an adapter for the input so i can hook it up to my kenwood amp? my amp does have a regular audio jack

That would require you to disassemble the subwoofer cabinet and disconnect the the supplied amplifier.
Connecting this unit to a different amplifier would provide no benefit to you unless the on-board amplifier became damaged.

How do u hook up a dual voice coil subwoofer ?

A dual Voice coil Subwoofer is like having two speakers in one, but the inputs from the amp to the sub must be the same level or you can over-heat the coils. Simply hook the subwoofer to your amplifier as if you had two separate speakers, make sure you get the + and - correct. If there is a level control on the amplifier for Left and Right, be sure to set these at the same level, also if the head unit has a subwoofer output for the amplifier be sure to use this
Hope this Helps GM

My subwoofers will make no sound now

Go through the multiple menus of your head unit, and make sure the subwoofer setting is set to "yes".

Do you have the owner's manual for the unit? What make/model is the head unit?

Have one wire for audio sub out, but two input ports to amp

This one Wire should be for the +. Try connecting the + to the Head Unit and - to a Common Ground. At the Worst, You will Blow the Amp Fuse if not Correct. The Lead from the Head Unit is Only an Off and On from the Ignition. Please Rate My Response! Thanks!

SA-AX720 no subwoofer signal?

THIS UNIT HAS NO SUB WOOFER AMP IN IT. THE ONLY WAY TO OVER COME THIS IS TO HOOK THE LEFT AND RIGHT FRONT SPEAKERS STRAIGHT TO THE SUB WOOFER AND THEN GO FROM THE SUB WOOFER BACK TO THE INPUTS ON THE BACK OF THE UNIT FOR THE FRONT SPEAKERS. THE SUB WOOFER THIS WAY WILL EXTRACT THE BASS AND THE FRONT WILL RECEIVE THEIR PART. THIS SOUNDS CRAZY AS HELL I KNOW BUT THAT'S HOW I GOT MINE TO WORK. THE OUTPUT FOR THE SUBWOOFER IS USELESS AND PUT THERE FOR YOU TO HOOK UP AN AMP FOR A SUB WOOFER. EVERYTHING HAS SHORT COMINGS, AND THAT'S THE ONE FOR THE AX-720.

Rampage BA-100 200W amplified subwoofer

Actually. I don't think you have to wire a remote switch from the radio to the amp on this product. This powered subwoofer supposedly has automatic signal sensing turn-on circuitry. I have the same problem. So I think I'll try to just hook up the power (to the battery), ground and the + / - speaker wires to one of the back speakers in the car and see if that works.
