Greeting Vikas,
You do need a firmware update to enable the Dual Shock feature on your system. On the XMB (main menu), go to Settings and click on System Update. If you have internet connected you will be able to download the newest firmware there. Here is a link to a site with all of the Dual Shock compatible games For Japan, Europe, and USA.

I hope this helps! Good luck to you!

I've just done a system restore on my ps3, when i connect the controler and press the ps3 button, nothing is happening!

There is not really enough information in your question, but I think when you do a system restore it could be similar to a HDD format, and after formatting you have to manually download the latest version of the Playstation update because your PS3 will not work. This has to be done by a desktop or laptop computer. (At the momnet the latest version of the update is 3.15). Download this onto your computer, then put it on a USB key or something similar then plug the USB key into your USB port on your PS3 and continue. The only thing to remember when downloading to your computer is. The update must be in a folder called UPDATE which is in a folder called PS3 (I always do them in capital letters as this always works).

Sorry if this is not what you mean, but if you ever require upgrading your HDD this information would become very useful. Good Luck.

I bought some old playstation 1 games like namco museum and joystick feature on the playstation 3 controller does not work is there any joystick controller that will work on the older games

Well the truth is PS3 does not play PS1 games, but the 60 GB version does play PS2 games, the only problem is they don't make those versions anymore so if you wanted one you would have to look on eBay

How do i get ps2 games to play on my ps3

The only way how to play PS2 games on PS3 is to have the correct version of the console. Either your Playstation 3 can play PS and PS2 games or it can't, and there's not much to do about it. Most of the PS3 models simply cannot play older titles as they lack the necessary hardware and firmware. However, a few models do have backwards compatibility. The 20 Gb, 60 Gb, and original 80 Gb models all have backwards compatibility, either through hardware or software emulation. The other models lack backwards compatibility, so even knowing how to play PS2 games on PS3 won't help you out much here.

Motion control

Hi theres no motion sensor features on call of duty, the best games for that are flying games and some driving games. And the dual shock pads have only just been released, so it sounds like you have the old pad. hope this helps

the better choice is...

buy a new hd and replace it, the original go bad quick.
replacing it resolve all of corrupt problems.

sometimes, you repair it,then when going to save a game, the ps3 freezes.
