It seems like the DNS error is generally caused by problems on your ISP's end of the network, but that doesn't mean you can't have a crack at fixing it yourself.

Under your network connection settings try changing the DNS servers to the following numbers (they're free by the way)

Primary DNS 208.67.222.222
Secondary DNS 208.67.220.220

When you hit a dns error it usually means your computer cant get to theinternet. If it only has the problem for certain addresses it meansthat either there's no entry for it or perhaps you mistyped it.

A couple ways to fix this problem :
1. Try right clicking on the networking icon in the taskbar and hitting repair.
2. goto a command prompt (start --> run, type cmd ) and type : ipconfig /release then ipconfig /renew.
3. if you goto control panel and then network properties and you gointo the IPv4 settings for your network adapter, you can statically setthe DNS. I recommend using a verizon DNS server 4.2.2.3 because it'seasy to remember.
4. If none of the above fix it, try a different machine, it most likelymeans your internet connection may not be up properly. Check cables andconnectivity and make sure you are getting an IP address.. If you gotothe command prompt (see step 2) and type IP config you should have anipaddress. If the address begins with 169.254 it means you are notbeing assigned an IP address and you will not be able to connect untilyou get one.
