Select Scaled, then select one of the scaled resolution options.
I am going to tell you a simple thing to do to know what your problem may be.
With the set on turn the color all the way to zero. Go to a channel if you can that is in black and white. What color is the screen?
If the answer is that it is blue in the background whoever serviced the set did not and could have removed front speaker grill and inspection plate behind it; there is a black plastic block with three screen controls (red,green,blue) and 3 focus controls (do not touch the focus ones.)
I suspect if the blue screen is there a slight adjustment of the blue screen down will correct this.
The picture with the color at zero should be black and white or gray. If blue is background color it will also be with color.
This is called gray scale; picture with color off has to be gray or black and white.

As TVs age, the rate at which the CRTs begin to decline in terms of light output increases. If you go into the customer menu and adjust the color setting to zero. ( no color) observe the image. Is it good gray scale? Or, is the image still green tinted? If so, its definitely a problem with the CRTs( picture tubes) You may need to just re-adjust the screen settings for the CRTs or it may be more serious, a CRT may be bad. Replacing the CRT is a job for an expert and will cost $500-700.
Have you tried the cleaning Mode, accessible from the control panel? Press 'Menu', then cycle through the options using the arrow keys until you reach 'Main Menu Service'. Press 'OK' This will show 'Cleaning Mode' . Press 'OK' and the printer should start cleaning. Ensure there is a sheet of clean paper in the input tray before you begin.

To correct the problem, please do as follows:
Access I2C Menu. (See page 57 of the Service Manual).
To enter the I2C Service Menu, with power off, (on the front control panel) press and hold the INPUT button. Then press the POWER button for two seconds. The following Service Menu will appear.
BEFORE CONTINUING: CONFIRM THAT THE R, G and B DRIVE ARE SET AT 40.
Be sure to press SELECT after each change to SAVE the new Data.
Using the Remote Control joy stick, scroll down to next page (see Figure 2) until LCD ADJUST is highlighted.
Move the joy stick to the right to cursor right once.The next page will appear with the word GHOST highlighted.
Cursor right again, and a white screen will appear with a BLACK SQUARE in the center, as in Figure 3.You will see LCD ADJUST, followed by “SHP” and a number (value).
If the unit is out of adjustment, you will see a gray ghost on either side of the black square. Move the joystick to the right or to the left until the ghost disappears. The number values will change up or down.
If the ghost adjustment is off with a lower value, there will be a ghost to the left of the square.
If the ghost adjustment is off with a higher value, there will be a ghost to the right of the square.
Once you get the square to look good without ghosts, press "SELECT" to save any data values that have been changed.
Press the "EXIT" button three times to return to normal picture.
Hi, I had the same problem and I wrote an email to Nu. They wrote me back that I should use the Factory reset feature which you have to go through the Factory Menu to get to. Instructions to do this are as follows. I got to the menu my first try but it has been a pain to get back to it. I hope it will be easier to access for yours.

Press and hold SEL/AUTO and press the power button. Then release the SEL/AUTO button.
Press the MENU key to display the factory menu.
Sencore 11 gray Pattern
Press the and select FACTORY2 menu. Factory2 is at the bottom.
Press SEL/AUTO to select the FACTORY2 menu.
Press the to select AUTO COLOR.
Press the to run AUTO COLOR. Wait until finished.
You will see the colors changing and then become stable when finished. About 10 seconds.
Press the and select COLOR UPDATE.
Press the to run COLOR UPDATE. It will finish quickly. < 1second.
Press MENU to exit the menu. Power off/on.
The on-screen menu appears only when the selected source
is DVD or VCD on the DVD/VCD/CD player and the disc
is in the slot and NOT PLAYING.
On the remote control ONLY:
1. Press CHOICE (it should work now)
LANGUAGE menu appears.
2 Press Cursor to move to the

5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 to adjust the other speaker output
6. Press Cursor to select ?TEST TONE,?
then press ENTER.
Test tone stops.
7. When finished, press Cursor to move
to ?EXIT,? then press ENTER.
EXPERT SPEAKER SETTING menu disappears.
