Does it work better with another keyboard plugged in?
Then it was a keyboard problem, not a PC Desktop problem.
Take the one with the stuck 3, pull the keycap if the keyboard has those, take a nail or toothbrush with a 1:1 liquid soap dilution on it, and scrub the cap and down in the key so it's not stuck anymore, then leave it out where it can dry...see if that fixes it.

Need to change my display from a comma to decimal

I don't know which particular calculator model you have, but for an HP-12C, the manual says the following:
Digit Separators
As a number is keyed in, each group of three digits to the left of the decimal point is automatically separated in the display. When the calculator is first turned on after coming from the factory - or after Continuous Memory is reset - the decimal point in displayed numbers is a dot, and the separator between each group of three digits is a comma. If you wish, you can set the calculator to display
a comma for the decimal point and a dot for the three-digit separator. To do so, turn the calculator off, then press and hold down the [.] key while you press [ON]. Doing so again sets the calculator to use the original digit separators in the display.

How to reset security code

  • Select a five-digit number and record it in the manual or some place else easily accessible in case you forget it.

  • With an assigned fob present, turn the "IGN" key in this pattern:
    Ignition-Off-Ignition-Off-Ignition.
  • Press the left turn signal three times.
  • Press the right turn signal one time and release. The turn signal should flash three times. The current PIN number should appear in the odometer. The first digit will be flashing.
  • Enter the first number by pressing the left turn signal the same number of times as the digit. So if the first number is 5, press the left turn signal five times.
  • Press the right turn signal one time and release. The new number will replace the old number in the odometer.
  • Repeat steps 5 and 6 until all numbers have been reset.
  • Turn the ignition key to "Off."

DISARMING WITH YOUR PIN
  • Turn the key to "Ignition."
  • Hold both turn signal switches until you receive confirmation.
  • Enter the first number by pressing the left turn signal the same number of times as the digit.
  • Press the right turn signal once.
  • Repeat steps 3 and 4 until you have entered your PIN.

  • Use the number pad buttons to enter the three-digit number corresponding to the equipment (codes are available at http://tech.dishnetwork.com/departmental_content/TechPortal/content/tech/remotes/techremoezcode.shtml). How many numbers round to 500

An infinite number of them. There are an infinite number of numbers between any two distinct numbers, and any of them larger than or equal to 499.5 and smaller than 500.5 will round to 500 (with three significant digits). Rounding to one significant digits, any number greater than or equal to 450 and smaller than 550 will also round to 500.

I just replaced the batteries in my HP 12C calculator and when I turned it back on the display looks like this 0,000. How do I get the display to show decimals instead of a comma?

Hello,
Here is what the manual for the HP 12C Platimum financial calculator says on page 17 of 275

Digit Separators
As a number is keyed in, each group of three digits to the left of the decimal point is automatically separated in the display. When the calculator is first turned on after coming from the factory — or after Continuous Memory is reset — the decimal point in displayed numbers is a dot, and the separator between each group of three digits is a comma. If you wish, you can set the calculator to display a comma for the decimal point and a dot for the three-digit separator. To do so,
turn the calculator off, then press and hold down the [ . ] key while you press [ON] Doing so again sets the calculator to use the original digit separators in the display.

Hope it helps.

Proline locking issues

The Proline manual (comes on a CD with the player) says:

6.3.7 Key lock
This function sets a time delay from when key lock function is started or the player is switched on, after which the player will automatically stop responding to the control buttons. Pressing any button will then display the message ‘Locked’. Key lock is useful, for example if you put the player in your pocket and don’t want any buttons to be pressed accidentally. The time delay is to let you start playing the music and so on. You can choose a delay of ten or thirty seconds, one, three or ten minutes, or you can disable key lock completely. •
Press and hold the V+ button for a couple of seconds to temporarily unlock the keys.

  • With the desired equipment on, press and release the Mode button until the light flashes behind the correct mode.

listed for your brand, or if your brand is not listed at all, try searching for

then release SET.
3. Enter 9 - 9 - 1.The LED will blink twice.

NOTE: In the search mode, the remote control will send IR codes from
its library to the selected device, starting with the most popular code
first.
5. To lock in the code, press and release SET.The LED will
blink twice.
6. To search for the codes of your other devices, repeat steps
1 through 5, but substitute the appropriate device key for
the device you are searching for.
