Have you already tried this? After you click print and select your printer, click properites and select your paper from 8.5x11 to Envelope.

I wantto print from tray 2. but it always print on tray 1

When the printer receives a print job, it selects the tray by trying to match the requested paper type and size with what has been loaded in the trays. Using an "autoselect" process, it searches all available trays for the paper that satisfies the request, starting with the bottom tray and ending with the top tray (tray 1). The printer begins printing the job as soon as it finds the proper type/size.
Press the "Check" button, scroll down to "Paper Handling", press the Check button again, scroll down to Tray 2 Type and press the check button again. Select the type of paper you have in that cassette and confirm by pressing the check button.

Mp500 says no paper

You may not be aware that there's two paper trays in your MP500... One is in the bottom and requires extending to be able to fill it with paper while the other is at the back/top which is a lot easier to spot.

Because of these two trays there's a paper selection switch on the printer which has a little outline of the printer and two LED light indicators to show which is currently selected.

You might want to try pressing this switch to select the other paper tray and then pressing OK to see if that then prints anything in the queue.

I'd recommend checking the user manual for more information on the paper trays and pay particular attention to the printing preferences > Paper Source option when you print to ensure you select the correct tray.

Hope that helps
