Question about HP Pavilion dv2000t Notebook
I am hoping you will be kind enough to help, please send me the fix if you would. THX
If you are talking about BIOS Password which is being asked when you try to access any feature of the BIOS, I am sorry, it is not possible to retrive or reset.
However, if it is the Startup Password which is prompted to enter immideatly you start the Notebook, you can try removing and replacing the CMOS / RTC / BIOS Battery.
1) Turn off the Notebook and remove the Battery and Power Adapter.
2) Follow the instructions to remove the BIOS Battery provided in page number 125 of 310 in the manual :
Start the Notebook with the CMOS battery removed with the power adapter and turn it off once you see the HP logo.
Remove the Power adapter and insert back the CMOS Battery and fix the door that covers it.
You should be able to use the Notebook normally.
