Question about HP Pavilion dv9000z Notebook
Since first day i am getting scratching noise(kirrrr) from my brand new laptop when hard drive is accessed .
As i called up to HP technical group then they are saying it is happening due to failure of read and write Hard Drive sensor. So its needed to replace.
Last month when i got laptop then same problem was coming then i returned the laptop, again i ordered for new one but again same problem.
In earlier Laptop that i returned had HITACHI 5400 RPM- 250 GB hard drive
now this time it is TOSHIBA 5400 RPM -320 GB hard drive
Kindly tell me any solution to fix this issue.
I wonder if the controller board on the motherboard is bad. I'd report it to HP again and see if they can fix it for you. Obviously they switch vendors for getting hard drives.
